Santiago Vacations

Map of South America

Santiago has the best of both worlds with the South Pacific along its west coast and the Andes Mountains to the east. If you’re feeling a bit indecisive on your holiday you could hit the slopes one day and sit at the beach on another. It’s also the capital of Chile and thus there are beautiful old buildings alongside modern skyscrapers giving you a great city skyline. For a unique perspective, go to the top of Cerro Santa Lucia where you’ll be treated to a fantastic view of the city.

Stroll through the Plaza de Armas, the original town square, and its beautiful gardens. The architecture here definitely has a European feel to it. The Metropolitan Cathedral, located on the western side of the plaza, is a beautiful building and marks the site where the first church was built in Santiago. Moneda Palace is used today as a government building but its former uses include being a national mint and a presidential residence. Santiago has wonderful local talents as well, some of which include handmade crafts and fabulous wine.

Get ready for a unique experience in beautiful Chile and reserve an amazing room with HotelsbyCity. You could be there sooner than you think.
