Manzanillo Vacations

Map of Mexico

Although Manzanillo had a history filled with piracy, you’ll still find it to be a place filled with adventure. Located along the Pacific Coast, the beaches offer you a wealth of sand and warm waters.

Manzanillo has two bays that are lined with beautiful beaches and hotels. Each bay is close to being four miles long, which are separated by a peninsula. Manzanillo Bay is closer to the downtown area and the Ventanas, Las Coloradas, El Viejo, San Pedrito, Las Brisas and Playa Azul are only a few of its great beaches. Make your way to the central pier and enjoy a fantastic sunset. Santiago Bay is gaining a reputation as being more chic, mostly because it’s newer. But its also less traveled giving you the opportunity to explore the way the locals live.

Explore the area by land or by sea. Rent a kayak and see the area and beaches from the water or go on a jeep tour and explore the caves and tropical forests. If you decide to explore via the water route don’t be too surprised to see a fleet of sailfish. Manzanillo is the sailfish capital of the world and thus hosts a great sailfish tournament every year. Not sure what they look like? Keep your eyes open for a bluish grey fish that has a dorsal fin that stretches over the entire back. But you may have a hard time seeing them, as they are one of the fastest fish in the ocean.

The people of Manzanillo seem to be very happy and you will be as well after you book a great hotel with HotelsbyCity. Manzanillo is the place to go to relax and enjoy a great vacation.
