The jagged coast of the North Shore creates some of the very best surfing waves in the world. It’s also home to the Banzai Pipeline, located in Ehukai Beach. Famous for its large, steep waves it’s a surfer’s paradise and definitely not for the faint of heart. Surf here only if you actually know what slash, dumping, mullering, and riding the barrel actually mean. The North Shore is also home to Sunset Beach, another fantastic surfing site. It’s also a nice place to go snorkeling and swimming, especially by the tidepools.
