Curacao Vacations

Map of Caribbean

Along with Aruba and Bonaire, Curacao makes up part of the ABC islands. It is the place to go for scuba diving, especially along its south side. The coral reefs are unbelievable. The sea floor also drops off quite quickly so you don’t have to go that far from the shore to see what ocean life lies below you. Most of the reefs are so close that you don’t need a boat to get to them. Just be aware of the strong currents, especially along the rocky northern coast. The highest point on the island is Christoffelberg, which stands at 1,230ft. Nearby is a beautiful wildlife park, which can be explored by horse, bike, car or foot. Curacao also has a wealth of historic buildings, especially in Willemstad, as well as former plantation estates that showcase its history. Curacao has some of the best food the Caribbean has to offer. Its an interesting mixture of Cajun and South American cuisines. There’s a wealth of seafood for you to enjoy that’s prepared in many creative ways.
