Most people think about skiing when they hear about Jackson Hole, and rightly so. You’ll think you’re Alice in Wonderland as you make your way down Jackson Hole. The trails are ideal, there’s always a lot of powder and most importantly, it’s not crowded. The sprawling landscape isn’t filled with skyscrapers and freeways. Rather, you’ll be amazed at the wildlife that thrives here. Elk, bears, moose and bison are only some of the neighbors you’ll probably see. Some of the other winter activities you can enjoy include snowmobiling, dog sledding and snowshoeing.
However, spending time in Jackson Hole during the summer is a real treat as well. Rafting, fishing, biking and horseback riding are only some of the adventures you can enjoy. One of the many unique features of Jackson Hole is its Aerial Tram. This floating bus takes up to 45 passengers up the mountainside giving hikers a glance at what they’re about to accomplish. Please be prepared for this adventure though. The hiking here isn’t a stroll in the park... it’s definitely a trek.
Surprisingly Jackson also offers golf on some spectacular courses. If you’re tired of the ol’ ball and club routine though you could always try out disc golf. Hey, even the tried, tested and true sports can use a little tune up.

The town in Jackson Hole takes you back into the Wild West. Saunter down the main road and enjoy the fantastic galleries, boutiques and restaurants that line the old fashioned sidewalks. The Square, located in downtown Jackson, has great places to buy authentic cowboy hats and boots too. Teton Village, just a short drive away from Jackson Hole, is another great place to set up shop while in this area. Coming this way also means you’re closer to the impressive Teton National Park.
