Yellowstone Park attracts thousands of visitors throughout the year, most hoping to catch a glimpse of Old Faithful performing his duties. There are also many other wonderful parks including the Teton National Park. The Botanic Gardens, located in Lions Park, span across nine acres and include cacti, roses and many tropical plants. Although a prison visit may not be on your list of things to do, the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Park is quite interesting, especially considering they claim that Butch Cassidy was one of their patrons. It should come as no surprise that you’ll see plenty of wildlife here. Also, there is a wealth of fantastic outdoor activities for you to enjoy. Whitewater rafting, horseback riding, skiing, fishing and biking are only a few of the amazing things you can experience.
The festivals and events in Wyoming are almost as legendary as the ski hills and fly fishing spots. The College National Finals and the Jubilee Days, Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo showcase some of the biggest rodeos around. The largest celebration though is the Cheyenne Frontier Days. Affectionately known as the Daddy of ‘em all, this ten-day festival is filled with concerts, fantastic food and of course, fantastic rodeos.
Proud of its western culture and eager to display its natural wonders, Wyoming is the place to breathe in the fresh air and get reacquainted with the great outdoors. Who knows, you just might become a true cowboy or cowgirl.
