The hotel is located right on the capital square, with great views of the dome and Lake Monona. It is minutes from State Street (the pedestrian mall of Madison) and a dozen very good to excellent restaurants. It is extremely well maintained and the staff of courteous and friendly.
Amazing views, tasteful decor, and very good "feel".

The Hilton Madison Monona terrace was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Highlights were its convenient downtown location within walking distance to restaurants and a very short drive from the university. A surprise treat was the beautiful night view out either side of the hotel - state capital on one side and lake views on the other.
Bedding was particularly comfortable.
Parking cost was not entirely unexpected for downtown area, but was an added cost.

Pleasant staff, comfortable rooms with outstanding views of the Capitol. The Olive Lounge offers delicious snacks along with tasty cocktails in an intimate atmosphere. Attached parking garage is convenient - although an extra charge. But, the location enables you to walk to the water or to the area's many restaurants, bars and shops.
The staff was friendly, the location was fantastic and the lounge/restaurant has excellent food - view from our room was terrific.
The small sundries shop off the lobby met our needs for aspirin but it did not have a lot of inventory.

This pet-friendly Hilton has a complete range of facilities for convenience, comfort and confidence. All guests loved its central location and gorgeous views of Lake Monona. Many of them were happy with beautiful property, restaurant, pool, spacious comfortable spotless rooms, cozy beds, big televisions and courteous and friendly staff. However, some visitors complained about malfunctioning air conditioners, small pool, ho-hum breakfast, internet and parking fee and spotty service.
