Stay anywhere but here - posted on 05/22/2007
The hotel needs to be entirely gutted and revamped. The rooms are old and outdated and common areas are worse. A rust colored shower in the morning and a 13" TV is not my idea of a 3 star hotel. I spend about 150 nights per year in a hotel ranging from Hampton Inns to Westins, and this was literally the worse hotel I have ever experienced. If you can get a room for $30, it would be the only reason to stay here.

This is a very classy hotel. The environment felt very sophistocated. I loved the outside view- one side is the capital building and the other is of the Lake. Also, the rooms are a great value.

Was placed in a smoking room. Had to go back down to front desk to ask to be moved.
What a surprise! - posted on 05/02/2005
I was terrified to book a hotel without a rating. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and the view from my room. The shuttle service to/from the airport is a big plus! I have already made my reservations for my next trip!

I liked the room very much. The view was terrific and the staff's attitude was wonderful. The bathroom needs to be refurbished.
Terrible Experience - posted on 11/02/2004
This trip was horrible when considering the service at the hotel. We did not get the room we requested, burnt out light that took about 2 days to fix, no towels when requested, no breakfast (room service) when requested, no help with anything when asked. Just not a good stay at all, and the next time i visit Madison I will choose a different hotel.
