Customer Reviews for Madison Concourse Hotel & Governor's Club

Great location, loved the rooms - posted on 09/19/2006

We dropped our daughter off to UW and decided to stay a night, we felt like we were on a mini vacation. The pool, sauna and gym were extremely clean.

We enjoyed the live music and food in the bar and loved the downtown attractions within walking distance. Used the pool and facilities. Great service shuttling us to and from graduation. - posted on 05/24/2007

Great experience. This was my second stay. I love the live entertainment and the walking access to downtown attractions. Great service with graduation -- free shuttles and breakfast buffet. Nice pool area.

Madison Concourse - posted on 05/14/2007

Always a pleasant and convenient stay. Walked to our activities rather than taking the hotel shuttle. Listened to some good jazz in the lounge. Booking through Hotels by City put us right outside the ice/vending machines and in a seemingly smaller room. Is this the norm?

Wonderful Stay - posted on 04/11/2007

This is a beautiful hotel and located right where you want to be if you're staying in Madison. You can park your car and do most eveything on foot. It was a wonderful experience and hope to return in the near future.

Great Stay - posted on 04/01/2007

I accompanied my husband on a trip while he went to school. So I was by myself most of the day and there is nothing that the staff wouldn't do for me. I walked most everywhere because this hotel is in such a great location for downtown. But where I couldn't walk because it was too far, the shuttle was happy to take me at not cost. I had room service by the pool and that was a lot of fun and great food and service. I would and will stay here again and recommend it to anyone going to Madison.

Great for business travelers - posted on 03/26/2007

I stayed at the Madison Concourse hotel for a business meeting and was impressed at the level of service. The location by the capitol and state street is a great plus.

Excellent location and service - posted on 03/06/2007

The Concourse is located right in the heart of Madison, only one block from the Capitol and from State Street. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, theaters, etc within an easy walk. The rooms are well-kept and the staff are excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Madison.

Madison Concourse Hotel - posted on 12/27/2006

Stayed at the Madison Concourse before attending a conference at another hotel. Got a better rate than what was offered by the conference hotel. Very convenient to capitol, stores, restaurants, university, and other venues. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Utilized shuttle service to dine at nearby restaurant. A bit of an unpleasant "carpet" smell in the foyer area of our floor, but did not appear in the room. Nice menu for breakfast.

Very clean hotel with exceptional service. I would rate this hotel much higher than the 3 stars you have it at. Great location!

Save your money! - posted on 05/05/2006

This was the most horrible experience I have ever had at a hotel. The nice person at the front desk said he hoped next time they would be able to accomodate me better, I told him there would not be a next time!

High priced for what you get. Was told had an excellant view but only of building next door. Average hotel.

Dirty Room - posted on 02/20/2005

On arrival, we found the front right leg on the bed was broken and it leaned forward dramatically. The bed was advertised a queen but was a full. The textured bathtub surface was stained black with mildew. There were hair clippings on the sink from the previous guests (yes, really). We were late for a wedding when we arrived so we had to wait until midnight to complain. We were immediately moved to another clean room. Room service at breakfast was excellent and prompt. Extremely polite front desk employees. Very slow elevators, we waited at least 10 mins each time we called one.

Fantastic - posted on 12/14/2004

The absolute perfect hotel for business. Governor's Club includes free drinks from 4:30-10:30 each evening. Bar had live Jazz Saturday night. Service at the front desk was great, they even remembered my name at check out. Rooms were perfect. Only negative is they need new corridor carpet. Otherwise it is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.

Nice, but dated - posted on 11/15/2004

For "Madison's premier hotel" the rooms and the carpet are terribly worn and dated. The service is OK, but not exceptional. Locale is fantastic.
