The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott - Seattle South Tukwila comprises 144 suites designed for the extended stay business and leisure traveler. The two-story, non-smoking hotel is four miles from the Seattle Tacoma International Airport and a 15-minute drive from downtown Seattle. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, a manager’s reception with cocktails on midweek evenings, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Area landmarks and attractions include two golf courses, the Boeing Museum of Flight, Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Starfire Sports, home to the Seattle Sounders, Mount Rainier National Park and shopping at the largest mall in the state, Westfield Southcenter.

This is an extended stay hotel but many clients say it is the ideal spot for an overnight stay before or after a flight. The hotel is four miles from the airport. Earlier complaints about the accommodation looking old and tired have stopped now that the property has been renovated. All the suites have a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. Other amenities include a fireplace, work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, television with cable news and movie channels, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board.

The inn offers a grocery shopping service and has a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. Places to eat nearby include an Applebees, Olive Garden, Red Robin and an Outback Steakhouse. From Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SEA) 4 miles: Follow signs to Highway 518. Go three miles East on Highway 518 to I-405 North. Take I-405 North to Exit #1 Tukwila/West Valley Highway. Turn right off exit. Hotel is two blocks south on the right.
