Overall the hotel had great service. The room was very beautiful, and well appointed. The restaurant service was good and the help in the gift shop, the valets, the town car service, the front desk, the doorman and the bellhop were all really great.

Consistent friendliness of the staff.

Everything was perfect, but valet service was a little slow.

If you would like to stay in a hotel that is worthy of being a destination in itself, let alone in the hip and fun town of Spokane, the Davenport is the place for you.

The Davenport Hotel, Spokane is a masterpiece in hospitality, whether you are looking for a romantic getaway for the weekend or looking for exceptional service as a business traveler the Davenport will not disappoint. Having traveled through the United States for 15 days this was the icing on the cake. Staff was courteous and professional in all departments, the menu at the Safari Grill excelled itself in choice, quality and most surprisingly, in price too. As for the building itself (both tower and main building) these were an architectural gem. No aspect seems to have been overlooked and even the beds provided us with the best nights rest on our travel. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Parking at tower was confusing. Valet service did not lock my vehicle.

The Davenport Hotel in Spokane is a destination, and a famous one. Originally opened in 1914 by Louis B. Davenport (namesake for the Crab Louie salad) the hotel has been restored to its rightful place as Spokane's "Living Room." The lobby and ballrooms done in Italian ornate style are truly jaw dropping with a real "WOW" factor. The hotel re-opened in 2002 after closing in 1985 and was saved by the wrecking ball. Today, no visit to Spokane, Idaho or Washington State would be complete without staying at The Davenport named by Conde Naste as one of the Gold List as one of America's Top 100 Hotels. Enjoy Spokane, capitol of the "Inland Empire," and site of Expo '74 World's Fair. Also imagine a grand hotel lobby similar to Chicago's Palmer House. And flash forward to today, to a state of the art hotel, lovingly restored to 4 Star quality. No trip to the Pacific Northwest would be complete without a stay at Louis B. Davenport's visionary hotel. You'll be surprised that costs are much less than you would find in the Seattle Metro Area. If driving or renting a car take a day trip to Grand Coulee Dam, which is a testament to FDR's New Deal, and the largest concrete structure on the planet. Spokane is a lovely city that is so many times overshadowed by her tarty, brassier sister, Seattle. Check out train travel options also on Amtrak.
