The great location was the number one attraction to staying here. Right next to the Spokane River falls and the beautiful river park. The ammenities were an added bonus. Great bedding and showers!

service quality - posted on 12/22/2005

The hotel looked nice, however the customer service wasn't good enough compare with price. Concierge and Front Desk Officer didn't provide respectful service at all.
Needs Improvement: customer service

We booked a two-night stay at the Red Lion Park Hotel (Spokane WA) online for its amenities and proximity to Riverfront Park. Being almost eight months pregnant, the hotel amenities (pool, dining, gym, etc) were an important deciding factor for us. Upon arrival, the condition of our room was substandard to say the least - and we opted for the "upgrade" to Park Tower (??). The floor needed vacuuming, there was hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub and the glasses on the bathroom counter were dirty. When we arrived, the outside temperature was in excess of 100 degrees so I phoned the main desk to inquiry about the outdoor pool and was advised that drinking water and towels would be available at the pool. Accessing the pool through the little gym, the water cooler was completely dry & the only towels available were in a four-foot pile (wet & used). Both mornings of our summer weekend stay, all three of us were abruptly woken up (by 8:00am) by room service knocking on our door to request whether or not we "WERE UP YET" for them to clean the room. At this point I called the front desk. My husband & I explained that we travel a lot and that our stay was substantially less than satisfactory and we politely gave all the reasons as stated in this summary. Absolutely nothing was said (or of course, done) to even acknowledge this for us. Our card was charged and out we went. I'd sleep in my vehicle before even considering this hotel again.
