I liked this hotel very much in general. The front desk staff was very nice. The hotel is in a great location close to the waterfront park and local attractions. The restaurant was empty when I was there but it still took 20 minutes before I was served anything other than water and my order was taken. The convenient parking made it easy to get into my room with no difficulties. Being located next to the corporate office for red lion hotels, this is probably considered their flagship hotel. I would stay here again if the opportunity arose.
The location was great, the room was very nice, and hotel was convenient to all local attractions.
Restaurant service was extremely slow, lobby was a little dated and useless, vending machines were all empty.

Spokane is one of America's All American Cities. Try the Lilac City Marathon in May. It is one of the nation's largest. Home to the "Zags" basketball team of Gonzaga University, catch a game while in town. The Red Lion At the Park is just a few blocks away. Catch big name entertainment at the Opera House or Events Center which are just as close. Drive south to South Hill and tour the beautiful homes and visit Manitou Park. Drive a few miles west or north to visit Lake Roosevelt which is the massive backwaters of the Columbia River from Grand Coulee Dam to the Canadian Border. Try the Colville Indian's Casino or drive to Republic and Kettle Falls with a tour over Sherman Pass, one of the highest in the country at 5000 feet above sea level.
