Within walking distance - posted on 05/06/2007
This hotel was definitly in a good location and excellent price. The areas where it needs are inprovement are in cleaning the in room appliences and providing more blankets. this hotel does have a smell! You get used to it after a while though.
great value - posted on 04/13/2007
This centrally-located hotel was clean and comfortable and the employees were friendly. The restaurant offered really good food at a reasonable price. The room decor needs some spiffing up, but is fine for the price.

This hotel wasn't terrible, but it wasn't nice either. The bed was small and the mattress was hard, but it was clean. The location is great. It is within walking distance of the Market and seemed to be in a safe area of town. One thing I didn't expect was to pay $10/night for parking! Just be ready because depending on how long you stay, parking can add a lot to your final bill.
smells bad - posted on 02/28/2007
I have to agree with everyone - the place smells bad. I walked over to the store and bought some spray so we could tolerate it. The location is excellent - the shuttle for the airport leaves from a hotel a block or two away which worked well for us since we were on foot. Close to a lot of things - room was clean - bathroom is small but clean - desk help was very pleasant to deal with.
Not Worth The Stay - posted on 02/25/2007
This was my first visit to Seattle. The front desk clerk was rude, the elevator had an order, the carpet in the room was stained in several areas (I kept my socks on) and the bathroom faucet had more water pressure than the shower. Hair was also in one of the (so-called clean) towels which made me want to start bringing my own towels..Would not stay here again.
Good location Great Price - posted on 02/23/2007
This hotel is not the fanciest you will stay at, but the price and the location were great. You are walking distance from many attractions, rooms were always cleaned, staff was friendly and there is limo service to the airport for the same price as a taxi. We were very pleased and had a great stay in Seattle.
Perfect for our stay - posted on 02/20/2007
I was visiting Seattle for a conference and the conference hotel was very expensive. We chose to stay here for the location, which was great. It was walking distance from so many things. The room was small but clean, customer service was very friendly and helpful, overall we had no complaints. We would stay there again without question.

The hotel is the cheapest we found in down town area. The location is great, it is close to the shopping district of 6th Ave and Pike Market. But the bathroom is small, and the room has poor sound insulation. We can hear the other guest walking above us late at night and early morning. Overall, we got what we pay for. We will reserve a room on the top floor next time.
Poor service - posted on 01/31/2007
It's in downtown, walking distance to a lot of places, however the service was terrible!
Would never return to this hotel - posted on 01/31/2007
Worst stay at a hotel ever. The elevators smell, the rooms are old and dirty and it felt like springs would bust out of the mattress at any time. All night we heard thumping of music from across the street. Highlight of the night was hearing gunshots and police sirens. Not a place I would ever stay in again.
location is all it's got - posted on 12/12/2006
Just like the other reviews, I agree that the location is the best attribute of this hotel. The neighborhood isn't that sketchy, though. For the price you pay, you get a clean room (a little outdated and old decor) at walking distance from all downtown attractions and you get to park your own vehicle. A definitle bonus. The front desk was absolutley rude, as was the reservations line. If you are going to Seattle on the cheap and want to experience downtown life, it is perfect. But don't expect to be blown away.
Don't expect much - posted on 08/29/2006
The location and price was our consideration for choosing this hotel. For it's price, it's already a suite in some parts of the country however, Seattle is not a cheap place to visit.
Sixth Avenue Inn - posted on 07/10/2006
This is not the Plaza, nor did we expect it to be for the price we paid. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to see. Rooms were adequate - clean enough. Neighborhood was not the best - not sure we wanted to be out late at night - daytime is safe. Restaurant food was surprisingly good.
Not so good - posted on 06/01/2006
The location was great for our purposes, however, the rooms were dirty and outdated and the service was awful. The desk clerk was rude and unhelpful.
Do not say here!!! - posted on 05/02/2006
I want to start by saying that I used to work in hotels and I have an incredible amount of patience when it comes to the service industry. That being said, I have traveled extensively and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. To save you time when reading this, here are the bullet points: Dirty bed, bathroom, hair in tub, pictures do not match rooms, location is dangerous, I only stayed one night and did not sleep as in fear for my life. The only thing they did (I stayed in the hotel a total of 8 hours) was take $20 off the room rate. The staff was nice, but the hotel is completely unacceptable. I hope this helps when you travel to Seattle. I did end up staying at the Paramount, way more expensive, but SO worth it.
OK Stay - posted on 08/23/2005
The hotel is fairly close to everything, and the staff was cordial and helpful. Poor housekeeping and fairly rundown facility made the rating go down.
Restaurant Review - posted on 07/11/2005
We eat in the restaurant periodically and have always found the food to be very good, especially given the value. Diane, who is generally our waitress, is EXCELLENT making the experience always enjoyable. She even remembers to bring my Diet Pepsi and I never have to ask, it just appears! Now that's service.
Dirty and worn - posted on 05/25/2005
We arrived at the motel. The desk clerk was friendly. We went to our room and it was a smoking room. We had requested non. They moved us to another room. They again moved us. This room smelled, was dirty. The sheets and towels were clean. I lined the bathroom floor with them The floor was quite stained. The carpet was worn and stained. The pillows reaked of grass and bad breath. Out our back window were adult shops. The motel was noisy and we did not sleep all night.
Good Price for the Location - posted on 10/28/2004
We have stayed at this motel many times and it has always been clean if a little worn. The staff is great and the location is right where you need to be and with Jazz Alley right across the street. They just need to add a small refrig in the rooms for keeping drinks chilled.
