Construction In Process - posted on 02/18/2007

Hotel is under extensive remodel with large crane out in front. Hotel staff do provide ear plugs. I would not have stayed if told remodeling in process. Slow and poor room service. Ordered breakfast never arrived.

Won't even look elsewhere on my next visit - posted on 02/15/2007

It was everything we could have asked for from the service to the location, view, decor, restaurant, and shuttle service - they shuttled us everywhere we wanted to go. There was no need to rent a car (we took the train up from Portland). The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the rain-like shower was so great it was a challenge to get my wife out of it. I won't even look elsewhere when we visit Seattle again.

Wonderful rooms, upgraded to a water view room (was worth it). Had a gas fireplace, claw foot bath tub and beautiful stone tiled bathroom. Oriental styled doors to the bath let you view the water and the fireplace. It was really nice.

The room of my dreams! - posted on 12/12/2006

We stayed in one of the partial waterfront rooms and I have one word to describe it. AMAZING. There are giant windows that open so you can get the breeze off the bay. There are fireplaces in every room and he bathrooms have bathtubs with feet and a seperate shower...a very very cool place. The food is also amazing and the bar was "hopping" every night.

Lacking Customer Service - posted on 08/15/2006

Booked "Family Suite" so my husband and mother don?t to sleep in the same room. Beds were not in "separate rooms" they were 2ft from eachother. No draws for clothes, 4 hangers in the closet, you live out of your suitcase. Room was clean. Front desk and restaurant staff seemed to be inconvenienced by any request. 98? weather w/sun beating off the water, we had to eat on the balcony because no kids allowed in lounge. We were treated like loiterers not like paying customers. Front desk not sympathetic, didn't care about our satisfaction. Hidden fees $25/ngt valet parking, $15/ngt crib, etc.

Beautiful Lodge Setting - posted on 08/07/2006

Very nice lodge interior and cozy rooms. Next time we'll stay in a room facing the water--train goes by all night. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Restaurant was great, including the coffee! Within walking distance to Pike Place Market and other downtown shopping and attractions. Great place to stay!

When I pay $*/night for a hotel, I expect free internet. Not a superslow wifi connection that rivals a 56K landline for unreliability for $10/night. Pathetic. I complained to the front desk and they suggested I use the internet at less busy times. Pathetic. Everything else was nice--why be so chintzy on the internet service?

Definitely a hotel to revisit - posted on 04/18/2006

The Edgewater has the only hotel on the Seattle waterfront is beautiful inside and out. Very friendly staff makes an effort to call you by Mr./Mrs (insert last name) whether calling the desk, the shuttle, or making dinner reservations at the amazing 6-7 restaurant. City-side room was a little cramped with 2 adults. Waterfront rooms slightly larger. Trains passing across the street every few minutes 24 hrs a day. Easy walking distance of all downtown or take the free hotel van. No airport pickup available unfortunately. Very enjoyable stay.

Cozy with exceptional dining and exceptional staff - posted on 02/03/2006

Best waterfront location. Excellent breakfast! Employees have a "yes I can" attitude, especially the valet shuttle service group. Offers courtesy rides to downtown! Within easy walking distance of farmers market and 5 minutes to shopping. Overall a great experience.

Getaway - posted on 01/19/2006

We recently took advantage of a rare free night and had a marvelous stay in the renovated waterside, king bed with clawfoot bath, and large screen tv room. We bought the no-hassle package with breakfast and parking included and decided to eat in at the SixSeven restaurant as well for dinner. The food and drinks were perfection. We'll be back.

Quality hotel - posted on 11/26/2005

Staff very polite and helpful. The room was decorated very nicely and had a wonderful water view but was one of the smallest hotel rooms we've every stayed in. Room was supposed to have 2 overstuffed chairs but only had 1 wicker chair so we couldn't both sit comfortably and read at the same time. Parking $22/day.

Outstanding! - posted on 05/17/2005

My first visit in my new City was the three days I spent at this Hotel. We visited the Space Needle, Art Gallery and the Aquarium. The Ahi tuna served in the resturant is the best! The view was spectacular from our room. We were close to everything and the walks along the pier were just the best. I highly recommend this for any family?s weekend.

Exceptional - posted on 01/12/2005

I take four, four day trips per year and always try to go somewhere new each time. This is the first time the hotel has been the main attraction. Dinner in the Space Needle didn't compare. From the moment we arrived at he door the service was great, everyone we encountered was gracious and knew thier job. Water Side well worth the price. Food and restaurant service wonderful. Would go back to Seattle just for this hotel.
