The Roosevelt is self-described as a "Vintage Boutique Hotel". Built in 1929, the current downtown area was remodeled and rebuilt around this property. Today it is located within steps of the city's best shopping, including Macy's, Nordstrom (flagship store), Westlake Center and much more. The 5th Avenue, ACT and Paramount Theaters are within a few block radius. Take the Monorail to the Seattle Center from the Westlake Center station and stroll easily to Pike Place Market and the waterfront district. Ride a Metro Bus for no charge in the downtown, "Ride Free," zone. Nightclub districts, Capitol Hill, Belltown and Pioneer Square are all a short taxi ride away. Legendary martinis too at Von's, attached to the hotel. Several movie theaters are within safe walking distance.

With 151 guest rooms there are several room types available, but remember in 1929 hotel guests received less space than they require now. The hotel, though, has all the modern amenities. There's the Traditional Single (one bed, shower, best value), Deluxe One Bed (more spacious for 2, full bath), Deluxe Two Bed (full bath), Whirlpool Suite (perfect for romance) and the Roosevelt Suite with sitting area and adjoining room options.
All rooms include a coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, controlled heat and air conditioning. Wireless Internet for a fee and also pay-per-view movies available. The hotel was renovated in 1989. Parking is close by and valet is available, but this location is perfect for those not needing their own car.
Traveling Interstate 5:
Take the Seneca Exit, go north on Sixth Avenue, right on Pike and left on 7th.
From the airport:
Ask the driver to take HWY 518 West to HWY 509/99, Seneca Exit on the Viaduct, Left on Sixth Avenue, Right on Pike and Left on 7th Avenue. This last route helps to avoid congestion through the city on the first route and saves taxi time fees.
