About the Doubletree Hotel Seattle Airport

The Doubletree Hotel Seattle Airport was my home away from home for many years. It is the perfect conference hotel but also a great hotel when you have an early morning or late night flight as it is so close to the airport. The staff is very professional. Meeting planning is a breeze and flawless every time. The restaurants, room service and banquet meals are first rate (ask for their house salad dressing).

In a few short years you'll be able to catch the light rail near the hotel to take you into downtown. If taking a cab to downtown, ask the driver to use HWY. 509/99 (shhhh-it's the backdoor to the city, waterfront, Pioneer Square etc.) Westfield Shopping Town (SouthCenter Regional Shopping Mall) is five minutes away. The staff and management of this hotel really strive for high standards. They even have adopted the local high school Academy of Travel & Tourism program with many many success stories! Doubletree Hotel Seattle Airport Accommodations

If sleeping, I prefer the tower rooms for their proximity and views. Sleeping rooms are large, A+ in my book. Excellent sound proofing prevents the jet noise. Parking is very easy whether you arrive with your own car or a rental. Shuttles to the airport take less than five minutes. The wing rooms are just as nice if you like a good walk. There's even a lake view wing.

Amenities offered

The business center is very convenient as are all the other amenities a family or business traveler would expect. The pool area is well protected from the wind and outside world. There's a liquor store across the street. For fast food, there's Jack In The Box and Taco Bell each a crosswalk away. Walk about two blocks north and you'll find the 13 Coins Restaurant, a Seattle icon, which features 24 hour gourmet REAL food dining. A small casino is a block south too. For check in and check out times, I've found staff very accommodating when business or travel required early check ins or extending my departure time.

If arriving by air, call the hotel shuttle.
If driving on Interstate 5, head west on the South 188th exit.
If parking the car, I prefer the large lot in back of the hotel which sits at corner of International Blvd. (HWY 99) and S. 188th Street.
