This is a great hotel, anyone would be happy staying at this hotel, it was clean, the rooms were great and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Location was perfect.

This was the first time we have stayed at The Hotel Monaco. At first I was disappointed that this is where we were going to stay, but once we arrived, I was quite pleased! We enjoyed the courteous staff, wonderful lemony French soap, warm robes, plantation shutters that allowed for privacy and gave us much needed light, a sweet window seat, and a very courteous, kind staff! We did not have a welcoming goldfish bowl at our door, but I noticed others did. Kids especially loved the fish! I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Every employee we met wished us a nice day. We also liked the robes and the courtesy beer/wine in the lobby.

My husband wished there was a coffee pot in the room. He didn't want to get dressed to go down for coffee in the lobby.

Charming and inviting lobby area with a 5-6 pm wine sampler happy hour. Very quiet rooms with comfy beds and in excellent cared for condition. I would highly recommend this property for anyone, unless they are too good for a more casual yet elegant atmosphere.

Very quiet and with a lot of charm, easy access too much of Downtown area.

Ventilation system smelled bad from a smoker in another room first night.

Hotel Monaco is well located in the heart of Seattles downtown. But the windfall here is fun!! The hotel is decorated in a beautiful Mediterranean/Greek style complete with two story lobby adorned with painted fish. Kimpton hotels always have a theme and the theme here is Playful Escape. The on-site restaurant is called Sazerac, also described as fun, named after a potent cocktail from New Orleans. The price range for an entree is between $15 and $30. The hotel is located with-in blocks of Pike Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, shopping at Westlake Center, Pacific Place and along the way, outstanding restaurants, Benaroya Hall, the dramatic new Seattle Public library, Triple door, Pioneer Square, waterfront, etc. Board games are available to borrow for kids. Business center, fitness center, ballroom and meeting spaces available.

Yipes, stripes! The guestrooms have been decked out in exciting colors and fun fabrics. Rich color schemes in crimson, ochre and charcoal or vibrant yellow, raspberry and cream are layered upon bold patterns, luxurious textures, and stylish furnishings. There are 189 guestrooms here in a building that was once a Pacific Bell Telephone Co. It has been a hotel for 12 years. All "views" are of other buildings. Beds are new within three years.

Maybe one of the most unique amenities is that you can request a loaner goldfish for your stay. 24 hour gym & 24 hour room service. Between the location and the cheerful accommodations, this would be a top choice. Business travelers will be close to the financial centers in the city including Washington State Trade & Convention Center. Kimpton calls itself a unique collection of boutique hotels. There are some negative reviews about efficiency of bell staff. Very pet friendly hotel so if you don't like dogs, you might not be comfortable here. Walk to everything, but beware Seattle hills. Other Hotel Monacos in other cities have similar themes.
