About the Seattle University Travelodge

This Travelodge is located at the NE Corner of the University of Washington. It is one of the original 1960s, two story, L shaped buildings with an office at one end. Room doors all open to the outside. Pluses for this site are that it is close to UW sports venues and University Village, also a 60's original but now stuffed with national upscale brand stores. Try the drive-in Burgermaster for lunch. Woodland Park Zoo is on 50th. Green Lake, located nearby, has a great trail and park around its perimeter and is visited and beloved by local upscale metronatural fitness buffs.

Location is best when doing your UW Husky activities or on business. Shopping at U-Village is great for a diversion. If planning to go to the Eastside (Bellevue) or Downtown, traffic can make estimating travel time difficult. Excellent restaurants for dinner on Univerty Avenue and in U-Village. Seattle University Travelodge Accommodations

The property has had a remodel and looks make it deserving of two stars at least. Now it features one and two bedroom suites, which are PERFECT to bring the family or buddies to a Husky game. It can be noisy with sports revelers. There is privacy and easy access to parked cars. Linens and furnishings get heavy usage, but matches value of room cost. I always felt safe staying here, but again, the room doors open to the outside.

Amenities offered

Amenities are more at par with a 3 star. The following are included in room price - FREE wireless Internet, parking, local and 800 calls, incoming faxes, in-room coffee and USA Today (weekdays). There's complimentary juice and rolls each day and a smile with helpful travel information from the office. Hair dryers, in room safes, cable, including Showtime and ESPN, all add value. Smoking rooms available, one of the last bastions in this state that taxes cigarettes to over $6.00 a pack.

North or South on I-5: Head East at N45th or N50th Exits. Avoid Express Lanes. Head towards the University of Washington. If taking 50th, head to 25th Ave NE & head South. If taking 45th, which is more traveled, head East to 25th and turn north.
