About the Seattle West Travelodge

This Travelodge is a good starting point for budget travelers, to explore West Seattle, or Seattle proper. The Metro City Bus runs every ten minutes, in three directions: toward downtown Seattle (Pioneers Square, Mariners Field or QWest Park), to the nearby business center at the Alaska Junction (Farmers Market, boutiques, excellent restaurants and bakeries), and south toward the new Highpoint green neighborhood and Public Library. The Central Point Golf course is across the street and the YMCA 1 block from the motel.

Good for budget travelers, and if you live in West Seattle and lack a guest room, this might be the place to send your relatives and friends (who can do without frills). Start your day with a cup of Joe brewed in your room, and take in the view of downtown Seattle and the Cascades from the viewpoint on 35th Ave.S. For breakfast visit the Alaska Junction. You'll find Easy Street Cafe (and Records), Bakery Nouveau, Cupcake Royal, Coffee to a Tea with Sugar (yes, sweets, but also savory treats) the Great Harvest Bread Company and more on California Avenue. Another great option is Luna Park Cafe, on the way to Alki Beach. On the Alki Beach waterfront itself you'll find the Alki Bakery and several other places to have your eggs and eat them too.

West Seattle relates to Seattle proper the way Brooklyn relates to New York City, it's only a bridge away.

From I-5 South bound Exit 163A, take West Seattle Bridge, stay in Left Lane until 1st Light, turn Left at 35th Ave Turn Right at 2nd Traffic Light onto Alaska Street.

From Airport: Take I 5 North Exit 163 take West Seattle Bridge,
