This is a newer hotel, recently converted from a Days Inn to La Quinta. The staff and hotel were not ready for guests: staff was too inexperienced, rooms needed finishing touches, no amenities provided except shampoo - and only 1 small container, cleaning staff not trained enough before opening...coffee supplies, but no coffee pot; no coffee supplies and missing pot, but the coffee machine was in room. No in-room information provided, i.e. list of TV stations, services, breakfast schedule, telephone instructions, local restaurant listing.

Nice staff, although inexperienced.

Rate error upon check-in. Resolved after a several minutes and a couple visits to front desk.

It's clean and I like the fact that they serve breakfast.

Strategically located near the Canadian border, La Quinta Inn Bellingham hotel is located near popular attractions. Familiy travelers can visit Science World British Columbia and HR Macmillan Space Centre. If you feel like flexing a few muscles go out on one of the nearby hiking trails or walk along the melancholic beach. Nature lovers will enjoy engaging in whale and eagle watching. If visiting the area in the snowy season, skiing is an absolute must. At night, you can drive to the nearby casinos and try your luck. If you have some time to kill, relax at the lobby where you can read the daily newspaper, it is free. Dirty clothes wont be a problem since same day laundry service is available. The friendly staff at the front desk can be very helpful when it comes to leisure.

Great location if traveling to Vancouver. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is courteous and pleasant and housekeeping does a thorough job cleaning the rooms. Continental breakfast is very satisfying.
