Customer Reviews for Bloomingdale Inn

Great Value for the Price - posted on 03/31/2007

I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I found lacking was the television. Tiny screen with just a few, fuzzy stations. The shared bathroom wasn't a problem. The location could be better. Though I didn't have any problems, the neighboorhood has a little to be desired. Overall I'd say it's a great value for the price.

What a wonderful hotel/inn! We chose it because it was more affordable than other hotels in Washington. Great value!!! The rooms are wonderful...each one is unique and full of charm and warmth. The service is exceptional. The innkeeper takes great care to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The Inn is over 100 years old and some features from the past have been kept to add to the very comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast is wonderful. The waffles were excellent...there was lots of delicious things to choose from....my personal favourite the pumpkin butter!.

Very cosy, friendly and comfortable! - posted on 06/01/2006

Bloomingdale is just great. I can recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very cosy place to stay at, where after a long journey you really get a chance to feel at home with a very nice welcome. The place is clean and very well looked after. The breakfast is fantastic, especially the homemade cake and the waffels. If you haven't gained weight during your stay in the US till then you should definitely do so while staying there - it is worth it ;-) All in all, if I got back to Washington I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice B&B. However, it is difficult to access it with public transportation...

Helpful staff, YUMMY breakfast (especially the fresh belgian waffles) I was here for a conference and will definately return! This was a first for me and has me forever hooked on Bed and Breakfasts!

Breakfast was awesome but only served btwn 8-930, should be availabile earlier for business travelers. Bathrooms are shared. Alot of noise from street, but to be expected downtown. Overall, great value for location!
