The 202 all-suites Residence Inn by Marriott Washington DC Vermont Avenue is in the center of the nation's capital, close to Washington’s major monuments and museums. The pet-friendly inn, designed for the extended stay business and leisure traveler, has suites with a complete kitchen and separate sleeping, living and dining areas. The 12-story, non-smoking hotel is a short distance from The White House, National Mall, the Smithsonian museums, the Washington Convention Center, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the city’s theatres, top stores and restaurants. Items included in the room rate are a hot breakfast, nightly social hours Monday through Wednesday, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel has three meetings rooms. The largest can accommodate 120 guests.

Visitors to the nation’s capital say that this inn offers incredible value in a superb location. One guest said he was able to walk to the White House in 10 minutes. The staff gets top marks for being extremely helpful and friendly. There were many good comments about the quality and quantity of the complimentary breakfast. All the suites have a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and conventional oven, full-size refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, cable television with movie channels, pay-per-view movies, hairdryer and iron and ironing board.

The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are numerous places to eat within walking distance including the Au Bon Pain deli, a Starbucks Coffee, the Mio Restaurant and the Corner Bakery. There is a fitness center on-site and the inn offers a grocery shopping service. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on all the DC activities. Other amenities include an airline reservations desk, coin-operated laundry, vending machines, and fax and copying services.

From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) 5 miles: Follow the signs to Washington D.C. (George Washington Parkway). Exit I 395 North to Washington. Cross Potomac River. Staying left, exit 14th Street. Continue north on 14th Street. Make a left onto K Street, proceeding in far right lane. Turn right onto Vermont. The hotel is 1.5 blocks ahead on the right side.
