Would use your services and this Capital Hilton again.
Perfecto! - posted on 05/02/2007
Asked for and rec'd upgrade when checking in. Hotel is 2.5 blks to 2 Metro train stops, Old Town Trolly stops at front door. Slept like babies in "to die for" beds. Room spotless and very nicely decorated; staff/service professional. Would definitely return again and again.
A Difficult Stay - posted on 04/17/2007
The room we were assigned looked over a very noisy construction site that interrupted our sleep--no other room available. Room service brought consistently cold food. Housekeeping didn't make-up room after two direct calls one day--telephone service was funky--I was billed for two days--didn't get wake-up call on the last morning--was promised a certificate from Hilton to make up for the problems. Hasn't come to date. Even though I experienced difficulties--staff always polite and cheerful. Stayed at Hiltons worldwide--never such problems as this

Great Hotel. Clean, comfortable and a great and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this one.

When I arrived at 10:00 p.m. the front desk said that there were no rooms available and offered me a single, folding cot placed on the floor of the dining room of a business room. After some serious complaining to the front desk, I was finally moved to another hotel. This second hotel was comfortable, but it should not have taken 45 minutes to actually get this accomplished.
Weekend Visit - posted on 07/24/2006
We were in DC for a wedding at the Hay-Adams Hotel. The Capitol Hilton was 2 blocks from the Hay-Adams and the price was very good. The Hotel was clean, room was comfortable but the bathroom was too small. The executive room privledges were nice, the staff helpful AND friendly! I would stay at this hotel again on a visit to D.C.
expensive, old, outdated rooms, excellent staff - posted on 07/13/2006
in the room, half the lightbulbs were burned out, the telephone was leftover from the 70's, all the fixtures were visibly old and beaten. bathroom small, shower dark and cramped. carpet stained. the bed was comfy. hotel staff always cheerful. i went to the hotel restaurant 'twigs' and was told they dont serve waffles, and the waiter was quite surprised to see they were listed on the buffet menu. "doesnt matter if they're on the menu, we dont serve waffles here." (i like waffles)

Classic DC hotel in downtown Washington. Service was superb and room was comfortable. Restaurants were excellent but pricey.

Great hotel if housekeeping were better; generally didn't provide all the toiletries without asking and a sloppy job cleaning
No thermostat! - posted on 04/06/2005
The hotel had good location, decent staff, decent room service, but the room had no thermostat. We had to prop the windows open with our luggage to get cool air in the room. Also, the maid broke a coffee cup in our bathroom, and left pieces of broken glass on the floor and in the tub.
