The rooms have gone downhill i.e. plumbing leaking all night and very noisy, furniture has seen better days and mattresses need replacing. The lobby (which includes all hallways, elevators and breakfast area was very warm our entire stay. There are only two elevators which are constantly in use and we ended up using the steps to the fourth floor. The breakfast is still great once you get through the line, but with the suite tax tacked on the bill and the other problems, the breakfast won't be enough to bring us back.

There is nothing negative to say about this hotel. The rooms are clean, up to date and spacious. The staff is fantastic and very friendly. Look no further for a place to stay in Williamsburg.
Good Value - posted on 01/04/2007
Chose this hotel for the suites. It is a good location and offers good value for the money. Hotel is a little worn, but is hard to complain about considering the value. Breakfast was excellent. Only complaint is no ice in the machines.
Wonderful stay - posted on 08/25/2006
We brought our family with college age kids here, specifically for the suite style rooms. We were pleased with the rooms, the made to order buffet breakfast, evening coctail hour with entertainment, and comfortable atmosphere. Very friendly staff completed a great package. Lots of families with younger children were also present, and this facility suits that guest well too. Will plan on staying here again if we're in the area.

This was a great place to take a trip with a toddler. We could go down and get breakfast and bring it back to the room, or use the fridge and microwave to cook what we needed for him. Nice indoor pool for rainy days. If you need a crib, bring extra blankets- it's a small mattress on a piece of board. Lots and lots of pillows on the bed, and great room service in the evenings
Friendly and Clean - posted on 08/14/2006
We had a very nice stay here during a very busy time of year for Williamsburg. Everyone raves about the breakfast, and they should! Its very good - just get there before 9am to avoid a long line. Only complaint is that "hotel smell" which hits you when we walk in the room, but you forget about after a minute or 2. Bed was very comfy. You can tell its an older hotel, but overall, it is VERY clean and up to date. Wouldn't pay full price for a room, but for $140 or less, its a good deal! Staff was friendliest I have EVER had - EVER!! :)
Great Family Stay - posted on 08/14/2006
This hotel provides a great family stay. The rooms were recently updated, the breakfast is great, and they even have story time at night for kids. It was excellent.

Nice hotel, quite, good location. The rooms are pretty old...due for some updating. There was also a strange 'mildew' smell...and our clothes were kind of damp in the morning. We think there was a flood on the first floor recently. Breakfast was great.

The hotel goes out of there way to make you comfotable and happy. The free breakfast was great and the free happy hour (Managers Special) every pm from 5:30 till 7:30. 5 miles to Busch Garden and 1 mile to Historic Williamsburg. Great experience!
I Finally picked a good Hotel. - posted on 05/28/2005
Nice hotel.Good location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. The only thing I would change is the curtain that covers the french doors in the suite. I didn't realize that one of the curtains could be opened from the living room side where the kids were sleeping until the next morning when they waved to me. Will stay again. This Hotel is much cleaner and safer than the Best Western Patrick Henry Inn which is right in front of the train tracks. Don't understand how that hotel also has a 3 star rating.
