Good Basic Hotel - posted on 05/11/2006
If you are wanting upscale, this is not it. It definitly is only a good, clean, basic economical hotel. We just got back from 4 nights there & were pleased with our choice. It is older, but the rooms are kept spotless. We didn't use the continental breakfast, as the parking lot was full of tour buses & we decided not to fight the crowd. If you're on a budget, I recommend it.

Over 4 day stay beds were not made and trash not emptied from strart to finish. When Mom asked for more coffee on third day desk clerk all but accused her of wanting to steal it to take home.
Not the first choice - posted on 04/09/2006
I was not impressed with this hotel at all. It was O.K., but definitely is not something that would be my first choice to return to. Room was not the most comfortable. Smelled kind of musty.
For the price is wasn't worth it - posted on 01/20/2006
For what we paid for our room it surely wasn't what I was expecting. Basically the rooms were not as nice as described on the web. I do not believe I will return to that hotel.

Looks nothing like the pictures, breakfast wasn't even worth free. The beds were horrible, it was loud, smelled funny and the front desk staff was rude.
Good hotel at a value price - posted on 08/15/2005
My family of four (2 kids/2 adults) stayed at the Patrick Henry Inn. The rooms were clean, however, we were very disappointed in the free continental breakfast. The choices were few - cereal, toast and coffe and juice. We decided that it wasn't worth the "free" breakfast and instead took advantage of the MANY pancake restuarants in the area. The food at the hotel restaurant was overpriced for what the quality was. There are more than enough restuarants in the area to take advantage of at all price points so skip the hotel restaurant.

Better than I expected - posted on 06/02/2005
Free continental breakfast was well stocked and good variety, and they didn't hustle you out when time was up. Ate dinner there also. Nice, though the menu was sparse. Nice outdoor pool with towels (no lifeguard), slightly heated, and open late. Very good location. Clean. Was quiet in spite of a crying baby next door and owners/dogs from a dog show staying here. Can walk to Colonial Williamsburg. My only fault was that you had to ask twice for something from service (ex. extra towels). My family was pleasantly surprised by the hotel.
