A comfortable hotel in an excellent location. While it is showing its age, it is well maintained and undergoing renovation. Excellent front desk staff helped to make the vacation enjoyable.

Close proximity to Williamsburg dining and activities, Historic Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.

The hotel seemed to treat guests differently. I was not there as an owner for the Blue Green properties and I noticed that those guests received better treatment.

It was within a short walk to Colonial Williamsburg.

The lobby smelled like stale cigarettes.

Patrick Henry Inn is conveniently located next to Colonial Williamsburg. This hotel is a 2-star site and perfect for the traveler who wants a reasonably priced place to stay in this area. It is a bit older and could benefit from some updating. The staff was great! I'd stay there again.

The Patrick Henry Inn is located two blocks from the bus that laps historic Colonial Williamsburg (CW). This is the closest hotel to CW other than those owned by CW (Inn, Lodge, Woodlands, and Governor's Inn). You will be across the street from a CW pasture. Enjoy patting the horses on the nose they want to check you out for food but don't feed them because their caretakers say they don't need the extra calories! The hotel was built in the 1970s, so expect a dated look, but rooms are large with lots of amenities.

All 300 rooms are spacious. Request a room with two extra long double beds or king beds, some with whirlpool tubs. Rooms are entered from an interior corridor. No smoking rooms are available and all rooms have cable television, ironing boards, and coffeemakers. Handicap rooms are also available.

Amenities offered

Park free and enjoy a free deluxe continental breakfast. Your pets can stay for an extra fee. After a day of touring the historic attractions or theme parks, come home for a swim in the Patrick Henrys large outdoor heated swimming pool. There is a playground for the kids. If you need to wash clothes, there a coin laundry or you can call for laundry service. The Patrick Henry has a game room and conference or meeting rooms.

Yes, to those who aren't overly picky or who don't require a spanking new hotel, because of its location. This is the best bet for visitors to Colonial Williamsburg who plan to stay in the area for several days but don't want to stay at a Colonial Williamsburg hotel. It is also convenient to other area attractions. (You will need to drive to these.) Although it is an older hotel, it has been well-kept by the owners who know it's a top choice for those who love Colonial Williamsburg. Imagine strolling home from dinner at Christiana Campbells Tavern and stopping by to see the horses.
