After being given an old apartment which was in the process of getting remodeled we were disappointed. The wallpaper was falling off the walls, the bathtub was disgusting. We had paid for 2 rooms for 4 people and got the suite. The next day, after complaining we were given 2 adjoining rooms which were much better, except for the flood in our room. It seems that the extra sink leaked. The hotel staff put a tornado fan in our room and never came back to get it.
It was close to Colonial Williamsburg.
When we arrived we were given a suite instead of the 2 rooms we paid for.

I was a little concerned because of the reviews that I had been reading. However, in our case, we had a very nice stay. Check-in was very quick. We requested a quiet room and got one on the fourth floor on the back side. There was a school group staying there but we didn't hear any noise from them except in the lobby, which is understandable. Four points: had a night guard that stayed on the third floor. Where and would enforce quiet hours if needed. Our room had a nice sized desk for working. The lights were bright for reading.
Nice room, great location.
Two double beds in stead of queen size.

High quality older hotel with a great pool and whirlpool, and wireless internet in the room.
High quality bedding and wireless internet connections.
TV remote did not get major network stations. Ice machine on our floor out of order for the 2 days we were there.
