The lobby gave an immediately comfy cozy feel, with a fireplace and Christmas tree. Right off the highway it was easy to find. It was a little too far from any shopping, but did have a larger travel mart type store to grab food, gas, etc. before leaving in the AM. The room was nicely decked out and clean. It was nicer than i had imagined, and I really had a good nights sleep, much needed for the long trip from FL. Thanks!

It was cozy, easy to find, and even nicer than I had expected.

I understand that the breakfast was complimentary, but it could have had more options.

We stayed while spending time with family in Military and the evening staff went above and beyond to make their lobby inviting and comfortable and helped in every way to make our family photos the best.

Evening hotel staff was fabulous.

Daytime hotel staff (a gentleman) was not very helpful.

The Hampton Inn in Stony Creek, Virginia is in an historic area from the Civil War. There are driving doors available at the Petersburg National Battlefield. You can visit Historic downtown Petersburg which is only 15 miles away. This area has recreation such as horseback riding and hiking on an excellent hiking trail. You can also have fun at the Virginia Peanut Festival and Virginia Pork Festival. There are many other festival throughout the year. Racing fans can take a drive to Richmond International Raceway. Shoppers will enjoy the Southpark Mall in Colonial Heights, VA which has major department stores. Old Towne Petersburg is another place to shop and you can dine. Your family will love Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. James River Plantations is another interesting place to visit. Ask the friendly staff for details about all area attractions.
