Good location in South Hill. Nice to stay at if traveling with kids because of the nice outdoor pool. Excellent complementary breakfast.

My daughter and I enjoyed having an outdoor pool.

The brunch was very good but it was so crowded that it was hard to get ones food.

There are also old toy trains, historic photos and railroading artifacts. Your daughters will love the collection of the Virginia S. Evans Doll Museum which is also in the depot. If you love the outdoors, visit the John H. Kerr Dam & Reservoir, a 50,000-acre lake with recreation such as boating, skiing, camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, nature trails, beaches and marinas for public use. Go fishing at Lake Gaston, a 20,000-acre expanse that is well stocked with rockfish, largemouth bass, crappie, sunfish and catfish. Ask the friendly staff if you have any questions.

Yes, I would recommend the Hampton Inn in South Hill, Virginia to my family and friends. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast buffet is very good and has a lot of different foods. The beds are comfortable with plush pillows. Free internet access in the rooms. There are many things to do near this hotel.
