This hotel is very nice, upscale, great location and excellent service! This will be our place to stay when visiting my college-aged son!

The room was totally renovated - far exceeded my expectations! WOW!

The 256-room Marriott Newport News City Center professes to be the premier full-service hotel and conference center in Newport News with modern, luxury facilities to suit both business and leisure traveler. The 11-story non-smoking property has 13 meeting rooms and a state-of-the-art conference center that will accommodate up to 1,000 people for a banquet. The 12,000 square foot grand ballroom is the largest in Newport News and the 4,200 square foot pearl ballroom and a 6,500 square foot rotunda makes the hotel the leading site for business and social events. The property is within easy driving distance of two golf courses. Nearby attractions include Busch Gardens, the Ferguson Center for the Arts, the Mariners Museum, Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Center.

Former guests at this Marriott property were full or praise for the quality accommodation and a friendly and helpful group of employees. Those attending conferences were impressed with the state-of-the-art equipment. Minor gripe was the cost of parking. Many earlier clients say the parking charge should be included with the room rate.
