I was impressed with the hotel and room. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. I had a good night's sleep, as did my wife. The bartender was great and served a nice 7 and water, the price was reasonable. The breakfast buffet caught my wife and me off guard. First, the person that seated us and the other person that waited on us never told us it was buffet only and we could serve ourselves. We sat for sometime before we finally figure out nobody was coming to give us a menu (we did get our coffee), so we took a shot in the dark and served ourselves. Second, the price of the buffet. My wife doesn't eat that much at breakfast, so when the bill came to a total of 26-dollars, we were shocked. We only had coffee and water with the food. As the old saying goes; "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." recommendation: there should be menu for late eater to choose from a selection of food and the prices should be posted. We got a great price on the room, but they got some of it back on the breakfast. Next time if there are no posted prices, I will go somewhere else.

The room furniture is attractive, but not in great condition. The room had plenty of closet and drawer space. The beds were too soft for our backs. There should be a separate baby pool. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Overall, we will recommend this hotel to others and plan to stay there again.

We liked the lobby and room decor.

The breakfast buffet did not have the advertised Belgian waffles or kasha.

Several visitors to Charlottesville who stayed at this hotel said the front desk staff could not have been more polite. The property was in a nice, quiet area and the rooms were clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Many said the prices were reasonable for the upmarket location and they would certainly stay here again the next time they came to town. The property is close to shopping centers and restaurants.
