The hotel was great. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bed was awesome! And the staffs were extremely friendly and polite. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to friends. Also it was right next to a wonderful shopping area with a large modern grocery store and tons of well-known shops and close to the University of Virginia and the Medical Center (in case of an emergency). Awesome place to stay!

The beds in the hotel room were fantastic. I couldn't believe how comfortable it was!

The fitness room was very small with only one bike, one elliptical machine and a treadmill that worked.

This was one of our finer hotel experiences. Our room was impeccable and we loved the kitchen. The staff was so helpful and friendly, recommending restaurants, places to see etc. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the servers made us feel right at home. We will definitely visit again.

Breakfast selections were great!

Only cardio machines in workout room-no weight training.

The 108 all-suites Residence Inn by Marriott Charlottesville is designed for the longer-stay business and leisure traveler with suites that offer separate sleeping, living and dining areas. The three-story, non-smoking property is close to historic downtown Charlottesville and the Central Place Mall, Virginia Discovery Museum and Paramount Theatre. Items included in the room rate include a continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, mid-week social evenings, local telephone calls and parking. The inn is a short drive from two golf courses and Thomas Jeffersons Monticello. Other attractions and landmarks include the southern entrance to the Shenandoah National Park, the University of Virginia, JPJ Arena, the Oakencroft Vineyard and Winery and Ash Lawn-Highland, home of President James Monroe.

Most clients at this Marriott property said it offered great value, particularly if you took advantage of all the free items, including the breakfast and weekday evening snacks and drinks. There were some complaints about the cleaning crews being a little tardy, but most people said the employees were very friendly and helpful. Many families made good use of the kitchens, and grocery shopping service. They saved money by not eating at restaurants every night. The money they saved enabled them to spend more shopping at the historic downtown mall.
