Every aspect of service was absolutely great! The rooms are in process of being redone which is really needed.
Great stay! - posted on 04/13/2007
Hotel has been renovated and has very sophisticated, modern look! All staff was extremely courteous and friendly! Toiletries are pleasant and plentiful! Easy and efficient shuttle connection to airport (Reagan) and/or the Metro--provided by the hotel!
beautiful! - posted on 04/01/2007
We lucked out when we chose this hotel! The rooms are beautifully decorated, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very serene and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't have a car but we got to the metro very easily by using the hotel shuttle. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
GREAT LOCATION - posted on 03/27/2007
PROS: Great location for touring DC area. Complimentry shuttle to the Metro was nice. I would stay many times in this hotel while in the area. Nice gift shop. Staff was the best at all times. Large TV was a plus for the kids. Beds were wonderful. If you are viewing the area this is an ideal location and price was good. CONS: Rooms was some what small for a family. Roof top restaurant was pricey but very good. No nice views of the city like I was told on the 800 number.

Loved the hotel! This hotel is not that close to the metro, but a complimentry shuttle is available. Soap/shampoo/conditioner smells horrible, but it is available! The staff was very nice and helpful. Renovation is almost 99% complete and the rooms look awesome!
looks brand new! - posted on 12/27/2006
I?ve stayed here before, great location when in DC for a short stay. Looks like they dumped a lot of $$$ into renovations, almost didn?t recognize it. New rooms look very trendy, LCD TV?s are a + as well.

I enjoyed it, great room and the bed was very nice. There was construction going on, but it was not that noticeable to me.
Filthy! YUCK! - posted on 07/02/2006
The hotel bedspread was dirty. The carpet was covered in dirt and dust. Filth all around. Had to leave -- too gross to sleep here. Manager says a big renovation is coming. I say tear it down. Hyatt should disassociate from this creep show.
Sub Par Service - posted on 06/22/2006
Arrived to find no running water available until 6am. Service at front desk was mediocre and definitely not near the Hyatt standard I have experienced in the past. This establishment had signs of plenty of wear and tear and in need of an upgrade. Was quoted lower rate over the phone after booking at a higher rate 3 days earlier. Very disappointing. When I finally went to use the restroom in the morning the toilet continued to flush continuosly, non-stop until I checked out at noon.
Cool Building, Average Room - posted on 06/02/2006
Hotel has restaurant, bar, and coffee/pastry shop. Cool! Room was a bit sparing-- no fridge, microwave, or jacuzzi. Small tub.
OK - posted on 03/22/2006
Hotel was OK. But, I expected more from the Hyatt Regency. Any additional service is very expensive. Use the parking next door!

Very nice, clean upscale atmosphere, very convenient to Downtown DC and the attractions there. Could have done without the Valet parking.
Great Time at the Hyatt - posted on 12/21/2005
The Hyatt in Arlington Virginia offered a convenient location to all DC tourist attractions. Easy access to the Metro through the free shuttle offered by the hotel made it easy to get in and out of the DC. My only problem was that parking at the hotel was very expensive considering the rate at which we got our room.

Shuttle service was always on time and very dependable. The staff was very friendly and helpful in reserving our tours. They always helped us out and were always willing to answer any questions we had. Would not suggest this for family since there is nothing for young kids to do.
Somewhat disappointed - posted on 10/10/2005
My hotel stay was adequate for the price. The carpet on our floor and room needed to be cleaned or replaced, it was worn and dirty. The service provided by concierge was excellent. Paying $20 a day to park is excessive, when the hotel is 3 star quality. I didn't expect a Hyatt hotel to be so shabby. It's a good buy if you only need a good nights sleep and you're flying out the next day.
We will be back! - posted on 07/13/2005
Stayed while attending conference held in hotel. Staff was wonderful--above and beyond for special needs. Room clean, bed comfortable. Only real neg. security. Officer yelled at me concernng my service K9 across lobby. Only knew he was addressing me because I had only dog and heard "dog" didn't understand rest. Expected more professional behavior. Speak to me directly w/concerns I can answer. Not shouting from 30 feet away in front of dozens of people. Plastic badges do not excuse bad customer service.
Convenient location - posted on 05/07/2005
We stayed here the night before leaving on a early morning flight. The airport shuttle and the hotel's close location to Reagan National airport was ideal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was not great, was the fan squeaked and made it difficult for us to get a good night's sleep.
Great Hotel Next to DCA - posted on 01/31/2005
Extremely friendly staff. Very courteous and accomodating. Very nice rooms--we had an unobstructed view of Potomac. Bathrooms are small but very clean (rooms are very clean too.) Very comfortable pillows. Chesapeake Grill Restaurant on top floor was excellent from the food to impeccable service to the great view. Only negative was breakfast buffet experience at Cinnabar. Food was ice cold by the time it reached the table and took about 15 minutes for a replacement meal. Convenient free shuttle service to DCA and Metro. Expect to pay $20 a day for valet parking if you decide to drive.
