What? No blinds?! - posted on 05/22/2007
Firstly we went here for our wedding night on our way to our honeymoon, and I must say that it's proximity to the airport was greatly appreciated. However, with no way to shutter the light out since there were no REAL curtains or blinds of any sort on the window, we were rudely awakened by the sunlight at dawn. Thankfully that was the only thing that wasn't up to par at this hotel.

Had a wonderful experience. The Hotel staff is very helpful and kind.
decent hotel and great price - posted on 05/12/2007
Really handy access to Crystal City and the shops an hotels, the microwave and fridge are great. The parking was the most reasonable I've ever seen in DC. The metro (subway) is on the next block and the Mall is only 15 minutes from your room. The hotel next door is 60% more expensive. All in all a clean, well maintained and friendly place.

Hotel staff was very nice and professional. The manager on duty checked us in, and noted we had specified 4 for the room. She upgraded us to a suite no charge! Why ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was decent but service terrible despite being only 1 of 2 tables occupied. Subway was close and price was right.

Have stayed here a half dozen times this past year. 5 minute free shuttle to DCA airport. 3 minute walk to metro station. Great selection of restaurants within 5 minutes. Clean, quiet rooms with wonderful sleep number beds. Microwave and small refridgerator are a big plus. Very helpful staff.

The hotel is clean. Have good location, which near to the airport, railways and CVS. Which is important to the self traveller with limit budget. I have a little wow after i arrive to the hotel

Great hotel. Shuttle service picked and returned to airport with no trouble. 1 block from great metro stop with food court. Rooms were very nice.

We had a very nice time at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed very comfortable. The staff was quite helpful getting cabs and telling us how to find the Metro station.
Pay to Park at a Hotel? - posted on 01/08/2007
When I travel I usually exchange a unit through my timeshare. I did not realize that some hotels charge guest to park. If I had known I would not have booked this hotel.
Unexpected Wow! - posted on 01/03/2007
Nice sleep number beds, great after so much traveling. Close to DCA, metro, shopping and dining. Needed shuttle to DCA on Sat 6.00am and didn't start until 7.00am. Took a $15 cab to DCA.

Close to DCA, 2 blocks from metro, shopping and eating. Nice room with sleep-number bed after traveling: nice!!. Awesome price. Needed shuttle for Sat 6.00am and it didn't start till 7 am, only $15 for cab to DCA.
poor choice - posted on 01/01/2007
My husband and I went here for a getaway weekend. The dining was horrible and had few selection. The bed was terrible and I woke up with a sore back. Overpriced. We were moved 3 times and our complaints went unanswered. We will never go back to the Radisson again.
our visit - posted on 12/05/2006
Ok hotel bad service. If you walk to the metro rather than taking the shuttle you have to walk across Jefferson Davis Highway (about 6 lanes in 25 seconds).
Great Location - posted on 09/27/2006
Great location. The only thing was that the tub in the bathroom took 8+ hours to drain! Credit was NOT issued when complained, nor was the problem solved when we left. So sad cause it was good.

location was excellent -- close to metro which takes one everywhere. hotel staff extremely nice and even drove us to iHOP for breakfast. Only negative is I requested a non-smoking room and the room I got was a smoking room -- I didn't like that but I also didn't request a change as I was too tired!
Great location, rooms, curt staff - posted on 09/07/2006
Great location - close to DC but not in DC. Close to the Metro. Unfortunately staff was very curt - not rude but curt. Front desk not knowledgeable or helpful with helping you plan your trip.

Nice Stay - posted on 08/28/2006
The Raddison was a very nice hotel that we stayed in 1 night on our way to Tennessee. It was close to the subway so it was easy for us to get around DC in a very limited time. Staff was helpful, the pool was very nice and the beds were so comfortable!

Stayed at Radisson when taking daughter to college at GWU. Less than 10 mins. from campus, very clean room. Room service rather slow, but front desk staff very friendly. Pool on gargelooked tiny; cramped minimal parking. Brought my own breakfast items & used fridge & microwave to save time & $.
excellent hotel - posted on 08/26/2006
Our stay was from Sunday through Wednesday, the rate on Sunday was only $* so when averaged with the other nights the rate was GREAT compared to other hotels in the area. We felt very safe walking around in this area. Hotel was clean and well decorated. Great beds!! Very helpful with directions and assistance. The hotel restaurant was the only disappointment - very pricey, slow service, and dinner choices a bit upscale for our taste. It's a close walk to the Metro from the hotel. Will most definitely stay here again.
Sleep number bed - posted on 08/12/2006
The sleep number beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel.
Mediocre - posted on 08/08/2006
The front desk personnel were very helpful in determining locations of restaurants, Metro, etc. The room was average, the maid service was mediocre (someone else's sock was in our room the first day), and every time we wanted to order a movie, the service would say no one was booked in our room. We would need to call down to the front desk and wait.

Clean, Quiet Hotel in safe location with friendly staff. Conveniently located near Metro and good restaurants on Crystal Drive. There is a Pedestrian Tunnel about 1/2 block from Hotel that will take you to Crystal Drive/Restaurants. Dorm style refrigerator in room convenient for bottled water which you will need if touring DC in the summe!! Bottled water available at closeby 7-11 store and at Revco inside Crystal City Gateway. Small laundry room also available on 8th floor of this hotel. Airport shuttle a great plus on this vacation.

Convenient to Metro, shares lot with Enterprise Rent-a-Car, comfortable room, friendly helpful staff. Shuttle Van. Restaurant was spendy for dinner, but has breakfast buffet for under $11.00. Fridge/Microwave in room - overall a very good experience - will stay there again.
Pleasantly Pleased - posted on 06/06/2006
After reading all the good reviews I tried selected this hotel over a multitude of well named, highly recognized and fabulous hotels. We are used to 4 and 5 star and I rate this a 4.5 losing a half a point for no sponsored activity but you are in the heart of Crystal City and the Capital just seconds away from Reagan airport "Bravo Radisson"

Best beds you will find. Very nice hotel, very near metro line. I regret not staying there for the first two nights I was in D.C. I saved about a hundred dollars staying elsewhere, and regret my frugality. Sleep-number beds, homey!
Business/Pleasure Trip - posted on 03/02/2006
I made a business trip to DC and decided to stay the weekend to see the sites. Hotel is very close to the Metro and two good resturants. Well lit and traveled area. Staff friendly and knowledgeable of area, with distance and shuttle to Reagon airport very convenient.
disappointed - posted on 01/22/2006
After reading other reviews, I chose this hotel with confidence. Very disappointed with myself for that decision. The front desk seemed lost when asked questions about the area and hotel itself and we not very friendly. The beds were notcomfortable as they use the sleep number matress which is a glorified air matress and the rooms were pretty small. And to top it off, they charged me 20 dollars to park my car when it states on here free parking.
Great stay near D.C. - posted on 12/06/2005
This hotel was excellent in every way. The service was outstanding and thr room terrific. It is in a great location, not only near the airport but a short walk to the Metro for access to all D.C. activities. It is also only a few minutes walk to a variety of restaurants. I will definitely stay there on my next trip.
Clean and Reasonable - posted on 11/08/2005
This was clean, located in a relatively safe area, within walking distance to the Metro, a 10-15 minute Metro ride from the monuments. It's the most modest hotel in Crystal City. The Sheraton is nicer and closer to the train, but all in all, this was a good value. The staff was extra friendly and nice.
Wonderful location - posted on 10/13/2005
We were in town for a wedding and were pleasantly suprised at the great cortesy of the staff close to metro and restaurants, Starbucks, and several other locations. You can get a ride on their shuttle service which is without doubt a great service, especially for a novice who does not know the area too well. They could make some improvements as to the quality of bedding which was a bit too firm for our taste. Overall great buy for the money (Cheapest in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy).
Weekend rate can't be beat - posted on 09/28/2005
The location is in a nice area, close to the Metro and across the street from some very good restaurants. Crystal City underground shopping also had a coffee bar, a (upscale) grocery store and a Rite-aid type store within easy walking distance. This made it very convenient.

We were very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the room was beautiful. The restaurant was a little pricey. Several hotel in the area offered "Free Continental Breakfast". Their room rate was similiar or less. Would be nice if this hotel did the same.
great stay - posted on 06/29/2005
My son and I stayed here on our 5 day vacation. Easy few block walk to metro with a short 6/7 min. ride to sites, staff drove us to grocery, restaurants, etc. when needed. Refrig.& micro made things even better. Pool on the roof was cool! :)
Top notch! - posted on 03/13/2005
We were surprised and pleased that for such a reasonable rate our rooms were immaculate, the furnishings were beautiful, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. In our room was a beautiful, cabinet enclosing a microwave, freezer, and refrigerator, a comfortable chair and ottoman, and clean and comfortable beds. We have stayed in many fine hotels over many years. This hotel ranks very high and we will stay there again. Parking was convenient, the front lounge was immaculate and inviting, and though we did not eat in the restaurant, it looked ve;ry inviting.
