They gave us a nice room on the 9th floor and it was a non-smoking room as I had requested by phone. Our floor was very quiet. The beds had very thick mattresses and were comfortable. The hotel seemed older, but was in good shape. It was very easy to find and near the Eisenhower (yellow) metro station and Mount Vernon. Our three kids ate free at the breakfast buffet every morning which had eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast strips, cold cereal, Danish, whole fruit and several types of juice. The hot food was mediocre, but overall not a bad buffet. You could also order from the menu if you wished. They have an indoor pool, but it was too cold for us. Not a large cable TV selection and a poor movie selection (about 7 movies to choose from). One of the nicest front desks we've ever experienced!

We liked the free van service to Old Town and the driver picked us up promptly.
Convenient location for our travel plan and fair price.
Our 1st room was by the elevator/ice machine; they moved us to a quieter room.

I was pleased with the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. There was almost no smell in the lobby or room. The hotel seemed a bit dated and in need of updating, but it was still a pleasant stay.
There was almost no smell. It seemed old but clean.
No continental breakfast and it seemed about dated.

This hotel provides great value and has well sized rooms with large bathrooms. That is the opinion of several guests who have stayed here. Many are delighted by the polite and prompt service they received from the cheerful team of employees. There were some minor gripes that occasionally there was a smell of chlorine in the lobby, presumably from the indoor pool. Despite this most clients say they have no problem recommending the hotel to others and plan to stay here on future visits to the DC area.
