About the Embassy Suites Hotel Alexandria-Old Town

Located in Old Town Alexandria, known for its history, restaurants and boutique shopping, and directly across the street from the Metro, the Embassy Suites Alexandria Old Town is a great value for both business travelers and vacationers. Two-room suites open off the eight-story central atrium and feature a separate bedroom and living room, each with its own television and climate controls. Each suite also includes a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and wet bar. Guests can enjoy a full cooked-to-order breakfast, as well as an evening reception with drinks and light snacks. Although the hotel is within easy walking distance of outstanding restaurants, there is an on-site restaurant as well as a complete room service menu from lunch until late night. There is a pool, whirlpool, exercise room, a small play room for younger children, and a guest laundry. Underground parking is available for an additonal charge.

This is a great place to stay for a hassle-free visit to the Nation's Capital. The hotel staff is friendly and professional and the rooms are extremely clean and very well-appointed. Business travelers will find the hotel is well sound-proofed and the working accommodations (Internet, work areas) very satisfactory. Family travelers will love the value of the free breakfast, the pool and the easy access to all the sights via the Metro. Embassy Suites Hotel Alexandria-Old Town Accommodations

All the 268 rooms are true suites. Each has a completely separate bedroom and spacious living room with its own televison and climate control. Bedrooms have either two queen beds or a king bed; all beds include numerous pillows. The living room has a comfortable sleeper sofa, an armchair and a table with four upholstered chairs. The taupe, rose and blue color scheme is restful and the large windows provide excellent views of the surrounding area.

Amenities offered

Guests can begin the day with a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, including omelets and waffles, while reading the USA Today newspaper. At the end of the day, both business travelers and weary sightseers can unwind with the Manager's Reception, which features beer, wine, soft drinks and light snacks. The swimming pool and whirlpool open onto a large deck. A newly renovated fitness center is available for guests. The small gift shop is open until late evening and is well-stocked with souvenirs, personal items and snacks. Each room has a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and wet bar. The bathroom amenities are not upscale, but are adequate in quality and quantity. The Metro is directly across the street with direct service to all of the major Washington DC attractions.
