Very pleasant hotel in a convenient part of old town. Our room was very nice with a view and breakfast was adequate. Restaurants close by offered better fare for dinner. Parking was very tight and I had trouble fitting in between concrete posts with my suv. Altogether a pleasant stay.
Big and airy with location convenient to metro and old town.
Parking stinks and what parking they charged you for was woefully difficult to park.

Overall great hotel. 16 dollar parking was a bit high. Across street from train station/Metro. Next to Washington monument and at the end of the main stretch for downtown. Room was nice and big- the maid over cleaned our room with a spray scent that was to strong for us to stay so I asked to be moved but then they moved us to a smoky smelling room- there were very few people at that time so not sure why they couldn't put us in a better room- one that didn't smell. Otherwise good place if you can get a room that isn't too strong. I would recommend this to a friend.
Clean- close to train station and downtown.
Room smell was strong then they moved us to smoking.

This hotel had great rooms and a friendly staff. Though the breakfast was included is not very good and it would have been nice to have the choice to eat in your room.

Accommodations
All the 268 rooms are true suites. Each has a completely separate bedroom and spacious living room with its own televison and climate control. Bedrooms have either two queen beds or a king bed; all beds include numerous pillows. The living room has a comfortable sleeper sofa, an armchair and a table with four upholstered chairs. The taupe, rose and blue color scheme is restful and the large windows provide excellent views of the surrounding area.
Amenities offered
Guests can begin the day with a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, including omelets and waffles, while reading the USA Today newspaper. At the end of the day, both business travelers and weary sightseers can unwind with the Manager's Reception, which features beer, wine, soft drinks and light snacks. The swimming pool and whirlpool open onto a large deck. A newly renovated fitness center is available for guests. The small gift shop is open until late evening and is well-stocked with souvenirs, personal items and snacks. Each room has a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and wet bar. The bathroom amenities are not upscale, but are adequate in quality and quantity. The Metro is directly across the street with direct service to all of the major Washington DC attractions.

This is a great place to stay for a hassle-free visit to the Nation's Capital. The hotel staff is friendly and professional and the rooms are extremely clean and very well-appointed. Business travelers will find the hotel is well sound-proofed and the working accommodations (Internet, work areas) very satisfactory. Family travelers will love the value of the free breakfast, the pool and the easy access to all the sights via the Metro. Although the hotel parking has in/out privileges, there is no need to unpark the car to visit the White House, Capitol, and all the museums.
