Travelers with children or pets should check this place out. Not only do they offer affordable pet lodging, at $20 per pet per night, but kids 12 and under eat for free on-site. This is also a convenient spot for families. Guests will be across from Vermont's largest shopping mall, in case any surprises should pop up, and within short driving distance of ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center, the Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory, the Champlain Valley Fair Grounds, the Shelburne Museum, and the Flynn Theater. You'll also be near Chruch Street Marketplace, the University of Vermont, Saint Michael's, The Fletch Allen Medical Center and Champlain College. If you're flying into or out of the Burlington International Airport, you'll be just a mile from the hotel, and have their 24-hour courtesy-shuttle available for easy transportation. Plus, there are pools!

This is a 40 year old hotel that is in process of renovating, but they're paying special attention to guests during this process. Recent travelers note the friendliness and helpfulness of staff, special amenities (like free room service) they've been offered due to inconveniences involved in updating the hotel. Their Park, Stay and Go will be unavailable from April to October in 2008, but is a convenient option for travelers. Almost everyone remarks on the excellent location of this Holiday Inn, not just to local sites but also to local medical centers.
