About the University Inn & Suites

University Inn and Suites is closeby to many South Burlingtton attractions including the Vermont Teddy Bear Company factory tours, the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, and the University of Vermont. Guests will enjoy nearby Lake Champlain where you can enjoy a day of boating, kayaking, and watersports. The surrounding area is ideal for golfing, hiking, mountain biking, and bird watching. Nearby are Smugglers Notch and Stowe ski resort. Guests have their choice of many restaurants within a two mile vicinity. With 80 non smoking rooms the hotel can accomodate both the business and leisure traveler. For the busineess traveler we have meeting rooms, fax and copying services and in room desks. The leisure traveler will enjoy the extended cable TV and outdoor pool along with many in room amenities. Banquet halls are also available.

The hotel is attached to Comfort Inn yet it is not Comfort Inn. Comfort Inn is on the property and runs the hotel. Reviews are mixed from finding the rooms clean to having to complain beacause the rooms are dirty. Some people love it because of the free breakfast and great freeway access. The hotel has many complimentary amenities including a continental breakfast, local calls and coffee in the lobby. With access to many nearby attractions this is a great hotel right off the highway.

Amenities offered

The hotel has 80 non smoking rooms with either one queen or two double beds. Rollaway beds are available. All rooms have free high speed-internet access, coffee makers, hairdryers, complimentary local calls extended cable tv, microwaves and refridgerators. For the business traveler rooms have desks so you may sit comfortably while you work. Start your day off right with a complimentary continental breakfast. Coffee is always available in the lobby. For the business traveler the hotel has meeting rooms able to accomodate up to thirty people. Fax and copying services are available. Laundry service is available. There is ample free parking available.

New York City: New York State Thruway - 187 Adirondack Northway to Albany Area: Exit 20 onto RT 149 east through Whitehall New York to RT 4 East towards Rutland Vermont. Take Exit 2 onto 22A North (left turn off exit) continue on 22A North past Shoreham Vermont and into the town of Vergennes to Merge onto RT 7 North to Burlington. Exit onto 189 (right lane) and follow signs for Winooski/St. Albans (left lane to Exit 14E. Go through one quick stop light and then take a right onto Dorset Street. Our hotel is on the right behind Friendly's Restaurant. FROM THE NORTH Montreal Area: Autoroute 10 east towards Sherbrooke. Take Exit 22 towards Luc/Saint-Jean-Sur Richelieu. Autoroute 35 S becomes Provincial Secondary Route 133 S. Provincial Secondary Route 133 S to the U.S. Border. This becomes I-89 S. Take I-89 South to Exit 14E. Go through one quick light and then take a right onto 14E. Our hotel is on the right hand side behind Friendly's Restaurant.
