From the moment you enter you are treated with such respect and warmth. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and well equipped. The amenities are incredible including a super breakfast and a wonderful hot tub. The place is cleaner than clean. Internet service is flawless and they even let us grill steaks on their outdoor grill. They NEVER say no to any request.

I think I prefer this Residence Inn to living in my own home!!

This hotel is the best for families or extended stay guests. You get a full kitchen, stove dishwasher and full size fridge. The rooms are huge with separate bedrooms and living rooms. The staff except housekeeping is the friendliest I have met. they even had an Easter bunny visit my kids.

The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Cottonwood Fort Union is located between the Wasatch Mountains and downtown Salt Lake City. The three-story, non-smoking hotel has 144 suites all with fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas, equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, evening social hours with cocktails, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 50 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include three golf courses, seven ski resorts, Hale Center Theatre, Hogle Zoo, Clark Planetarium, Temple Square, the Utah State Capitol Building, Salt Palace, Lagoon Amusement Park and shopping at Gateway Plaza and Gardner Village.

Several guests said this is the only place to stay when you come to Salt Lake City. The friendly and efficient staff is full of information about the area attractions and restaurants. The rates are reasonable if you enjoy all the extras that are included. Many visitors enjoyed the evening social hours where they made new friends and learned more about the area. First time visitors said they will stay here again and will recommend the inn to their family and friends.
