St. George is jammed pack with beautiful scenery. Its location makes it an ideal place to get to many national parks in the area, including the Grand Canyon, Snow Canyon, Lake Powell and Lake Mead just to name a few. The city itself is home to the impressive St. George Marathon. I wonder if the scenery makes it any easier to run the distance. Probably not. The town also has wonderful 19th century homes and even a few ghost towns that are just a short drive away. Whether you’re stopping for some site seeing, running the marathon or on your way to the great parks in the area, St. George is worth visiting.
