Cedar City is affectionately known as Festival City USA. Throughout the year you’ll be able to enjoy events like the Thunderbird Film Festival, the July Jamboree, the Fat Tire Festival and the American Children’s Festival. One of its most popular ones though is the award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival. It started back in 1962 and brings close to 150,000 visitors to Cedar City each summer and fall. The productions should not be missed and it’s a treat for all.
Cedar City is home to the Cedar Breaks National Monument and is a short drive away from fantastic National Parks such as Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. You’ll also find great ski Mountains like Brian Head nearby. Whether you come for the parties or for the scenery, Cedar City is a wonderful place to explore.
