The pet-friendly Residence Inn San Antonio North/Stone Oak comprises 88 suites designed for the extended stay business traveler and families on vacation. The suites at this four-story non-smoking hotel have fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, a manger’s reception on midweek evenings, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme park and the Valero headquarters, and a 20-minute trip from Riverwalk, the Alamo and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Many visitors to this inn were impressed with the warm welcome they received, the attractive grounds and the spacious suites. Those who spent the day shopping or sightseeing said there was always a hot drink awaiting them in the lobby upon their return. There were some complaints about the early morning noise from the nearby Costco store but most clients did not notice it and said they would stay at this inn on future visits to San Antonio and would recommend the property to others. All the suites have a fully equipped kitchen with a conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a fireplace, work desk with high-speed Internet access, pullout sofa bed, telephone with voicemail, 25-inch television with cable movie and news channels, hairdryer, alarm clock and an iron and ironing board.

This inn has an outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool and an exercise room. The hotel offers a grocery shopping service and there are numerous restaurants nearby. From San Antonio Airport (SAT) 8 miles: Turn left onto Airport Boulevard and then right onto South Terminal Drive. Make a slight right onto North US 281/McAllister Freeway. Merge on US 281 North. Exit Anderson Loop/TX 1604. Take Loop 1604 West to the left. Stay on Frontage Road. The hotel is on the right side of the road behind the Macaroni Grill restaurant and next to Costco.
