Hidden treasue in S.A. - posted on 11/08/2006

My new husband and I stayed here for two nights following our wedding (we're from San Antonio). Wonderfully historic hotel with modern conveniences. It is certainly is nice change from the usual S.A. downtown hotels - RV is cozy and without all the fluff and exorbitant pricing. We stayed in a corner room, which was lovely, but wasn't good with all the traffic passing by us. Late night noise from a next door club/bar kept us up one night, but it was relatively quiet the next. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, service and decent hotel prices.

Fantastic - posted on 11/02/2006

Usually on business travel, I avoid returning to my room since most are dreadfully boring and unhospitable. The Riverwalk Vista was a delightful change and I found myself returning as often as I could in order to enjoy the beauty and comfort. I loved my visit and if I come back to San Antonio, will surely stay here. The staff also were perfectly helpful and made every effort (even after checkout) to make me comfortable.

Location and Atmosphere - posted on 09/06/2006

My husband and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the Riverwalk Vista. The location is fabulous, with Riverwalk access right across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great, more like a bed & breakfast than a hotel, and we appreciated how the history of the building was incorporated into the decor. There was definitely traffic noise, but nothing the sound machines in the room couldn't cover up. Our AC had some issues--it cooled well, but left the room a little humid. Overall, we really liked the hotel and would certainly stay there again.

Will come again - posted on 08/16/2006

Beautiful hotel! Room was fantastic, clean, comfortable, great location, walking distance from most attractions, beautifullly decorated. Especially enjoyed the leather chair. Was quite a find, I will always stay at this hotel when I come to San Antonio on business or a romantic getaway - but not when I come with my family - the pool is blocks away at a partner hotel.

Great Value & Location - posted on 09/20/2005

Stayed at the Riverwalk Vista Inn from 9/10/2005 through 9/14/2005. The Inn is very intimate and has only 17 rooms. The rooms feature high ceilings and hardwood floors. You get a continental breakfast each morning & the special arrangements I had made in advance for a celebration cake and champagne were delivered to our room precisely when I requested. Direct access to the Riverwalk is found across the street

EXCESSIVE NOISE - HAD TO LEAVE - posted on 08/31/2005

We had to leave their ?best? room at 1:30am due to extreme street noise. The rumble was so loud, we could not hear each other talking in the SAME BED. In response, they said, ?You were welcome to have used our complimentary ear plugs.? What does that tell you? Besides, the street rumble was so low and loud, it rattled the bed.

An Amazing Find! - posted on 08/02/2005

My husband and I enjoyed a great anniversary weekend here! This hotel is first class, everything from the antique and modern furniture to the comfy beds and robes. This hotel with good views of San Antonio looks even better in person than the photos. It was located right off the Riverwalk next to the mall, in walking distance of most of the best restaurants and attractions. Parking is the only hassle, they have none, so you need to use the garages or nearby Main Trolley and Bus routes. We had a fantastic weekend and highly recommend this hotel to any couples wanting to get away!

a wonderful jewel - posted on 12/11/2004

This boutique hotel is expensive, but worth every penny. It has the best bed I've slept in. The historical charm of the building has been restored and showcased. The room amenities are numerous: feather down comforters, DVD/VCR players with a DVD library, internet access and a large desk, bathrobes, umbrella, a HUGE slate lined shower with a rain shower style head, white noise machine near the bed, (it works in reducing traffic noise). It's within walking distance of some of the best San Antonio restaurants. Great place to spend a special weekend for two!
