The pet-friendly Residence Inn San Antonio Airport provides affordable accommodation for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The three-story, non-smoking hotel has 120 suites with a fully equipped kitchen and separate living and sleeping areas. Items included in the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, midweek evening socials with cocktails and appetizers, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is a 540 square-foot meeting room available for business or social functions. Area landmarks and attractions include five golf courses, Riverwalk, Sea World, The Alamo, the Fiesta Texas Amusement Park, Breckenridge Zoo and shopping at Northstar Mall and El Mercado.

Sadly, this Residence Inn is starting to show its age. Several clients were disappointed with the accommodation. But there were some good points. YES, if you want a great breakfast buffet and good prices. NO, if you want sparkling, modern day accommodation. Families who had a two-bedroom suite said they offered good value and they would return here again. All the suites have a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a fireplace, work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, pullout sofa bed, telephone with voicemail, television with cable movie and news channels and pay-per-view movies, hairdryer, alarm clock and an iron and ironing board.
