The pet-friendly Residence Inn San Antonio Downtown/Alamo Plaza Alamo comprises 220 suites ideally suited to the extended stay leisure or business traveler. The 13-story, non-smoking inn is within walking distance of downtown San Antonio, the Hemisfair Park, River Center Mall and the Majestic Theatre. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, evening receptions on Monday through Thursday evenings with a light meal and beverages, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There are five meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 90 guests. Area landmarks and attraction include three golf courses, the Alamo, Sea World of Texas, San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium, Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme park, El Mercado or Market Square, IMAX Theater @ Rivercenter Mall and Mission Trail.

Families who stayed in one of the two bedroom suites say it was the ideal place for touring the area. The suites were spacious and the fully kitchens allowed home cooked meals which saved on restaurant expenses. Everyone like the location, steps away from San Antonio’s River Walk. There were some negative comments about the inn showing its age. Despite this most clients said they would return to this inn on future visits to the area. All the suites have a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, pullout sofa bed, telephone with voicemail, television with cable movie and news channels and pay-per-view movies, hairdryer, alarm clock and an iron and ironing board.
