Read reviews and can't understand some of them. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Rooms clean and all have balcony to watch Asian peacocks & pheasants. Very quiet and only 1 block from Riverwalk. All rooms are non-smoking. Nice heated pool & hot tub. I will definately stay again & recommend to others.

Night time service is poor, very poor. All service employees go home for the night. They have one, I reapeat, one security officer in uniform doing the valet, and room service. The security officer is not trained in customer service. Ridiculous night service.

They say they are pet friendly, they told us after 3 days of staying there that our 3 lb. 6 mo. old chihuahua puppy had to leave immediate because she was crying. No warning, no help, no sympathy, not even an apology for the inconvenience. If you plan to take a pet there, DO NOT do it. There are other hotels that are much nicer and much more accomodating

Advertisement was very misleading! We thought this was the Marriott Rivercenter (many Marriotts in San Antonio, be careful!). We were totally disappointed in the location, 10 blocks away from the Riverwalk. Service was terrible, very unsympathetic staff. We ordered a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. Asked for an upgrade and they lied and said none were available! I finally spoke with a nice manager who finally did upgrade us to a non-smoking suite.

When you walk into the Lobby, you feel like you will be experiencing something really special. But, the Room was clean, but the bathroom needed help. There was mildew on the tiles. The shower went from perfect to HOT! to COLD in second WITHOUT you touching anything.

I was scheduled to stay at The Fairmount Inn, but they moved me to this hotel. The rooms were very clean and large. I had a balcony with a view of the Alamodome. The service in their bar area was awesome, the people working their were very friendly. Would definately stay there again.
