Best location on the Riverwalk - posted on 05/18/2007
I brought my 84 year old mother and 2 kids here for Mothers Day. This location was ideal! Within walking distance of everything. A beautiful clean hotel with glass elevators, fantastic breakfast buffet (we had an internet special getting it free), very courteous staff, and rooftop pool. It's only an $18 cab ride from the airport. Great trolley system so car was not needed. We will recommend this hotel to all of our family and friends!!!
Great Hotel in convenient location! - posted on 04/29/2007
This hotel met all of my expectations and MORE! The staff was very helpful and recommended wonderful places for us to eat. I tend to picky about certain things in hotels (like towels, blow dryers, soap/shampoo..real important things :) These were all fabulous. We loved the location. It was very convenient to all the activity. The rooms were VERY clean & laided out well! Mini bar prices were a little high but that is always expected. Would definently stay there again.

Overall, the hotel is very clean. The location is wonderful. The food is too expensive in their restaurant. The staff needs people skills. They are too cold.
Extreme comfort with access to Riverwalk - posted on 04/05/2007
The hotel was extremely beautiful, comfortable and luxurious with waterfalls moving through the building. It was right on the Riverwalk which had wonderful restaurants and was great for people-watching. The boat tours are worth it.
pricey - posted on 03/23/2007
I have never been to a hotel in any of the big cities I've stayed in where they charged more for over night parking than day time parking. I feel as a guest in the facility the parking should be a a lower rate if not validated altogether. Also cost was out of line as far as restaurant pricing vs/ quality goes. I'm not overly conservative but this was a bit excessive.
Riverwalk weekend - posted on 02/02/2007
The service was always attentive, courteous, and sincere; restaraunt, lounge, valet, everywhere. The parking is expensive ($21/day for self-parking), but may be the standard for the area?? The location is great. The room cleanliness was only average; not cleaned as thoroughly as they should be.
Great! - posted on 01/24/2007
We had a great weekend. The hotel was fantastic and the location on the Riverwalk Superb. Room was nicely appointed and very clean. Great time in pool on roof. Could have had the bar open up there. Breakfast buffet a little pricey. Staff was wonderful. Asked for a bar fridge on check-in, arrived 20 mins. after entering room. We'd return for sure.

Great Location - posted on 11/05/2006
The hotel is in the middle of the action - great! The lobby bar was a great way to start the evening. The room could have been better - small TV, no fan and no towel bars in the bathroom, poor ventilation, bottom sheet too small for the bed. Would try a different hotel on the next visit.

The concierge was FANTASTIC! He helped me organize my wish list of sights to see, made suggestions to improve, and helped with transportation. HE had a LOT to do with the success of this trip.
wonderful get away - posted on 09/01/2006
we only had a few days to experience the river walk and the Hyatt was right in the middle of everything. perfectly located. very clean and the room service was wonderful. the hotel restaurant was excellent. everyone was very helpful. even the door man let my son (who we were visiting) park his car right in front for a few hours to visit.

Great time in San Antonio - posted on 07/13/2006
Had a great time from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. The ENTIRE Hotel staff were excellent! Had a great view, nice room & a super comfy bed. Only thing that was annoying were the kids from a large convention staying on my floor. I didn't complain because I didn't want to be moved. They were running up & down the halls banging on walls , knocking on doors & talking loud. Didn't let that ruin my time there & I would love to go back & stay here again. It is close to many attractions, close to the freeway access...very convienent.

The rooms were very nicely done, the customer service was outstanding every day of our stay.
OK, but needs improvement - posted on 06/02/2006
Hotel, even after remodeling, isn't up to Regency standards. We had upgraded room, bed was excellent, however no comfortable chairs in room, furniture layout was ackward, TV was small and poor, every light crackled when turned on or off, lighting was very poor for reading, no towel racks in bathroom, coffee bar setup next to toilet, no plug so had to move coffee maker to use. Parking expensive. Hotel too modern, lacks character of it location. Chaps restaurant served great buffett breakfast, hotel staff was very courteous and efficient. Location on RiverWalk is excellent.

We loved the hotel, it was very nice and had a great location. The food was wonderful and all of the employees were friendly. The rooms were very musky though and had NO venilation. Close to Alamo and beautiful views of riverwalk and city. We would stay again...
San Antonio for Cinco de Mayo - posted on 05/11/2006
The rooms were clean; the bed was comfortable; service was good; location was great. Only thing that kept it from being a "5" for me was that the breakfast was WAY overpriced.

The Hyatt in San Antonio, TX was one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. The service was exceptional and I look forward to visiting again.
Jazz on the river! - posted on 05/09/2006
We went for the Christmas Parade the Friday after Thanksgiving. We were a little disappointed in the parade itself. Ate Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel...Fabulous. The shops and businesses along the river are great. This hotel is an easy walk to the mall, across the street from the Alamo and the horse/buggy rides in the evening. Great for family or Romance for couples.
San Antonio Vacation - posted on 04/27/2006
The Hyatt was a great place to stay. Close to everything. The meals at the hotel were pricey but many good resturants just outside on the Riverwalk. The rooftop pool is small but a great place to cool of and soak up the sun. The view from the pool area is great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. No need to rent a car because everything is close by and trolleys stop just outside the hotel. The rooms are very nice and housecleaning was superb. I would not hesitate to return.
Great Get Away - posted on 04/25/2006
This is a very well run hotel. The location is superb, with right-outside-the-door access to the Riverwalk, and a block from the Alamo, it could not have been better. The only complaint - and this is a small item - it would have been nice if the bottom sheet was fitted. It kept coming loose and bunching up. Otherwise, everything was ship shape and most enjoyable.

Beautiful hotel right on the riverwalk. Great friendly service from everyone. Beautiful hotel.

Absolutely loved the hotel. The staff was very welcoming..I asked for a refridgerator for my insulin, and it was in our room within minutes of our arrival. The rooms were so clean and the view of the Alamo and city were spectacular. I felt very safe here and it's the perfect location on the Riverwalk. Would definitely come here again.
luxury riverwalk hotel - posted on 04/12/2006
this beautiful hotel has it all. location is prime-right on the riverwalk and one block from the alamo. friendly, accomodating staff, excellent restaurant, bar, jazz club, morning paper, beautiful atrium, rooftop pool & hot tub with outstanding views of the city(especially at night). the beds rival the comfort of any four seasons hotel- i would definetly stay here again if back in san antonio

We loved the hotel! The bed was so comfortable. All goose down comforters and pilllows. The lobby is beautiful! I wish the hot tub was a little bigger because it got crowded but an awesome view. We wish they had a few more free amenities provided for guests. Great location on the riverwalk. It is happening at night.
We Love It - posted on 01/02/2006
I've stayed at this hotel twice and will be back in March. The rooms are beautiful, the food is great and the location is right in the middle of everything. You definently get your money's worth. Clubs and restaurants are right outside the hotel doors and so is the Alamo.
Not what I expected - posted on 12/26/2005
The Hyatt has a great location, but that's about it. Parking is $23/night. No fridge or microwave available. No guest laundry facility. And, even though there were "environmentally friendly" hotel signs everywhere, the maids would not clean with our kids in the room because of the chemicals. Sounds a bit fishy to me! I won't stay again
best staff ever - posted on 12/06/2005
staff the best ever, location great for young and old, salads the best and breakfast worth the money. and the BEDS....wonderful
Hyatt Review - posted on 11/22/2005
Beautiful, convenient hotel , but not a good value for the money. Parking is $25.00 per night, food and drink overpriced.

The rooms were great! The no smoking room was truly smoke free. Very courteous. Can't wait to go again!
A Pleasant Stay - posted on 11/15/2005
This hotel was really big and spacious. Even though we got a room on one of the lower floors, we got a had a huge view of the lobby below. The bed was spectacular and very comfortable. The room was super clean, and the bathroom was very modern and lovely. You can tell that they really have made renovations. I don't know what it looked like before, but I'm sure it couldn't be better than how it looks now. Definitely recommend anyone visiting SATown to stay here. Just an elevator ride away from downtown Riverwalk.
UNBEATABLE SERVICE - posted on 08/22/2005
Hotel Staff is by far the friendliest and most accomodating EVER! I unfortunately became ill during my visit...they extended my check out time until it was time for me to leave for the airport at no charge and asked if they could send something up for me!!! I WILL BE BACK! When I am not sick of course! Lobby bar is expensive for the quantity...Martinis are 2 and 1/2 oz only and are like $10.

This was the best place to stay on the riverwalk. The rooms were large and immaculate. Must visit.

My wife and I enjoy weekend getaways when we can, and the staff at the Hyatt made our stay very enjoyable! The room was beautiful, including our atrium view. We especially loved the Riverwalk location and the close proximity to eveything San Antonio! Thanks!

My room overlooked the Alamo. Room was spacious and attractive. Pool was very small. Fitness center was large and offered many different machines. Front desk mixed up checkout date and locked us out of the room on our last night. They were not overly helpful and wanted to charge 3/4 higher price than what we were paying all week. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay here very much. This hotel is in the heart of the busy riverwalk - short walk to everything.

San Antonio - posted on 07/19/2005
Loved the city, the Hyatt seamed a little outdated in regards to the workout area, way to small, no spa facilities, which most modern hotels have. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The pool was really for children. I would try another hotel next time.
Great trip - posted on 07/14/2005
We had a wonderful experience at the Hyatt. We would have given it a 5 rating but the 16$ a day for parking is a bit much. The hotel staff was very courteous and respectful. The concierge was very helpful with maps and directions. The hotel is in a good location where everything is in walking distance. The breakfast buffet is a little pricey, but the omelettes are fantastic and they have a good variety. The king size bed was a major plus and the bathrooms are a good size. We were very pleased with the hotel.
wonderful! - posted on 07/14/2005
Hyatt always provides the best and this hotel is perfect if you are visiting the riverwalk. It is located between all the hot spots at this tourist attraction and makes it convenient to slip back in your room for a rest or a change of clothes for night life. Rooms are decorated beautiful and very clean, bed sleeps wonderful. Wish we had more time!
A pleasant stay - posted on 06/16/2005
The room was very comfortable; slept well. We had a great view of the Alamo. The staff was very polite and helpful. The only negative experience was in the hotel restaurant, even though it was after 10pm and things were winding down, the service was slow and the food wasn't great. Didn't spoil our visit, we had a great time in San Antonio :)
