The Marriott Rivercenter is a full-service 38-story hotel with 915 guest rooms and 86 luxury suites designed for the upmarket business and leisure traveler. The non-smoking property is located on the San Antonio Riverwalk and close to the city’s convention center. The hotel has 36 meetings room for business or social functions. The largest, the grand ballroom, can accommodate 6,400 guests. Area landmarks and attraction include three golf courses, the Alamo, Sea World of Texas, San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium, Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme park, El Mercado or Market Square, IMAX Theater @ Rivercenter Mall and Mission Trail. The Buckhorn Hall of Horns is two blocks from the property.

This is Marriott at is best, with incredible service, a superb location on San Antonio’s Riverwalk, and luxury accommodation. That is the view of many guests who have stayed here. Those who dined at Sazo’s Latin Grill said the food and service was top notch and those who had room service said their meal was wonderful too. The only downside was the prices. This hotel is expensive especially when you add the cost of parking and Internet access at $10 plus per day. Marriott Rivercenter Accommodations

All the guestrooms, and 86 suites, have a work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, flat-screen television with cable news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, alarm clock, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, bathrobes, coffee and tea making facilities and two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone.

The hotel has an indoor-outdoor connected swimming pool, whirlpool and a fitness center. The hotel’s Sazo’s Latin Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Cantina del Sol has lighter fare. Room service is available around the clock. There are numerous restaurants nearby including the Madhatters Tea House, Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood and a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and can arrange for babysitters and handle currency exchange. Other amenities include a concierge desk, full service business center, coin-operated laundry, valet dry-cleaning, car rental desk, shoeshine stand, florist and a gift shop and newsstand.
