This is a very nice hotel but do not stay here if you are expecting a short walk to the River walk. This hotel is approximately 1 to 1/2 miles from the river. Other than that, this hotel is very clean and the staff is awesome.
Very clean with a nice staff.
Not even close to the River walk as advertised.

Excellent staff. They were very professional and courteous.
The rooms were brand new just renovated. Very nice!
Some parts were under construction but the staff made sure we were taken care of.

It was really nice. I liked the rooms and staff was generally helpful. The only issue I have is that the fire alarm sounded at 3:30 am. until 4:30 am. To compensate they gave us a complimentary breakfast for that day only. Due to the lack of sleep we didn't know we got this voucher until too late. So when we asked to use it the next day they agreed, but when we went to use it. they said no that was only for yesterday. That was not the proper way to take care of your guests when it was their problem for having faulty alarms not ours.
I loved the rooms!
The fire alarm went on at 3:30 in the morning and they didn't fully live up to their compensation.

This is one of the better downtown full service hotels in San Antonio according to guests who have stayed at this Holiday Inn. The rooms are immaculate and the service top-notch. The property is two blocks from Market Square and there is a trolley to take you to the famed River Walk. Those who dined here said the meals were good and less expensive than some of the upmarket restaurants nearby.
